Will DWAS Be A Bigger Commercial Hit Than Poker Face?

At least globally if not in the USA?

 

Id argue Poker Face is her all time biggest hit at least commercially speaking. It was the longest #1 in so many Countries and its her most streamed song daily excluding recent hits like DWAS and Disease

 

It is hard to compare her oldest hits to newer hits because streams are up and itunes sales are down but if we try to take both into consideration I think its clear Poker Face is the biggest hit of her career.

 

Like im quite positive Poker Face would have more streams than shallow if it was the same hit years later and the fact its surpassrled Shallow in daily streams now I think proves that

 

Now will DWAS surpass it?

Not PF (that one has like 25M+ units ww I think) but it seems like it's on its way to surpass Shallow. I won't be surprised if it gets to the 3.5B mark quicker than Shallow on Spotify.

but have you ever been in a straight bar when Shallow comes on? i played it on a jukebox thinking i was being disruptive and the whole bar sang it together lol

If were talking impact, general likeability and iconicness things become less clear and u can make arguments for what her biggest signature is

There is like.. 1 live performance, from his concert.. it simply cannot reach icon status like that!

Well i said commercial hit tho. Not cultural or icon hit

 

Edit: and it was #1 for 6 weeks. So thats a #1 not a top 10

No way it’ll be at PF level but DWAS can be on par with shallow. It rises up faster than shallow but shallow has the Oscar performance that boosted it to #1. As much as I’d love to see DWAS at the Grammy, I’m not sure if Bruno will choose to perform with rose instead. I get a sense that he promotes APT a little more.

well we didn’t use to think she’d have anything bigger than BR or PF but then shallow came along
