The reaction videos on TikTok are priceless. And if I get a negative vibe I can scroll away. I just can’t be around toxic energy from people who are just never satisfied. Nessun Dorma 2,373
Such great reviews! Such a great reception! I’ve been listening to DISEASE since early this morning and I can’t wait to watch the MV! And for anyone claiming it’s lackluster, it might be interesting to go check your hearing
Nathaniel Arven 1,597
the song is such a grower. tbh at first i could not recall it at all. listened twice, left for a bit... now i'm crying and i can drive a truck without ever trying (edit : for whatever that means). RoadToLouis 104
You can say the song is not what you expected, but if we talk quality, the song is objectively a REALLY good pop song, and it also sounds fresh and interesting while also going back to her roots. I’m super happy that it’s being received positively and that people are here for her gritty and darker sound. 2 2
southpaw773 2,344
I have hated entire artists and songs and then weeks months or years later I am obsessed with them. I think this song may be a grower for some people. I had to listen a second time before it clicked on me. Moon dust gets everywhere

In tapping back into her roots, Gaga seems to have found pop renewal, amid a clanking, mechanised, tech-fuelled landscape. She might just be the chaotic cure.” — CLASH (9/10) “This the first glimpse of Gaga’s forthcoming seventh album and, if it’s anything to go by, the prognosis seems excellent. “Disease” is like a defibrillator to the chest, jolting us out of our stupor. Welcome back, Mother Monster.” — The Independent (4/5) ‘’This is a tune that will stay with you like a curse, in a good way. Disease has got wicked case of the earworms, burrowing their way into your brain after just one listen. Disease is a hit, and it’s unlikely we’ll be recovering before her new album finally drops in February 2025.’’ — Standard (5/5) ‘’A return to form, and to her classic sound’’ — The Guardian (4/5) ‘’Her versatility further solidifies as one of the most preeminent artists of the 21st century’’ — Emanfork (9/10) “The song is classic Gaga in the best way possible, marrying elements of pop, rock, dance and ragewith the star's signature lyrical ear-worms. Dare we say "Disease" is "Bad Romance's" edgier, (and more mature) big sister?” — Harper’s Bazaar “Just in time for Halloween, “Disease” finds Gaga falling back on some of the tricks from her early heyday—namely the macabre imagery and brash EDM stylings of 2009’s TFM and 2011’s BTW. It is driven by a heavy industrial beat and squelchy bassline with enough heft to support her characteristically bombastic performance.” — Slant Magazine _________________________________________________ I was a bit bummed to open this site and see so many lackluster reactions to the song, I don’t mean to dismiss anyone’s opinion but I truly do feel like few artists are held at the impossible standard Gaga is held by her own fans. Everybody from fans on twitter, other fandoms and critics are inlove with the song, it seems like only some people on this site seem to feel somewhat unsatisfied. Sometimes I feel like even if we got actual Bad Romance 2.0 some fans wouldn’t be able to see it because it’s not Bad Romance 1.0. We need to let go of nostalgia, nobody treats Gaga more like a nostalgia act than her own fans. It’s sad, the song is fantastic, and I agree with the reviews, it’s a 9/10, a 4/5, it’s not absolute perfection but it doesn’t have to be, it’s fantastic enough, easily one of the best releases of this year! Hopefully some of you come around to loving the song, if not, hopefully the video or the next one will do it for you. Let’s be positive cause Gaga might actually visit this site and stream & buy so we can repay her efforts! 🖤 preach, love! this is exactly it, this website is full of people that (that's the culture now) are mostly interested in the "what will they think of it" thing, the way the GP will react to the song, how radio friendly is this, how many fandom will we surpass?, what about longevity, it will never top DWAS o Shallow..., or maybe she should stick to some ASIB type of music the GP seems to love it, aaaah she needs to go harder and slay" shut. up. please when its blonde you want it black, when its hairy you want it shaved, than shaved with a tint of blonde, "but hey look at Charlie XCX maybe some little trimmed hair with that crazy green on my lil bushy bush" it just becomes harder and harder for artist each album cycle because we always want the fresh new hit bitch to make us go crazy and then we blame her cause she isn't new anymore. such nonsense to live by. At this point it seems like complain is the only way to survive to people which are always unsatisfied. As GAGA wisely said while promoting ARTPOP stop the drama. start the music. most of the people complaint the song is not WHATEVER (read someone asking why Disease isn't LOUD?!?!??.... I mean do you have functioning ears or listening to mamammapa perfect illusion?.... or the lyrics are too basic, excuse me Bad Romance chorus?!?) most of the people I was saying will flip sides when the MV is out IF the MV has tons of views and has the PERFECTION of whatever the expectation is engraved in it is. instagram kinda mindset I just want to enjoy things as they come and go with the flow, and, pardon me, this is such a ****ing good flow. vibing to the critics recognition vibing to how many tones she uses in one song vibing to post like yours that show proactive thinking and proactive way to support the artist you love. Im ****ing happy we have her making BANGERS after 15 years and more. Im ****ing happy we have her making BANGERS after 15 years and more. So I’ve been thinking about the psychology of the “now” movement and how this impacts various fan bases. Perhaps the “now” obsession with Gaga came from a genuine place of needing her to be visible and for the GP to appreciate her because for many of us, that meant we were visible and worthy (collectively and in speaking in terms of queer culture). But I’m not so sure that many of us need that anymore. She has helped us in our own development to find strength and courage to be ourselves. Maybe those still fighting for the “now” are still fighting within themselves in a way. When the internal sense, not just of worth, but also humility, is present we just no longer care as much about external gratification. Let things flow as they may. Enjoy when it flows with the energy that resonates with you and find other things in life to enjoy when that specific energy is not there. basically what my deep thoughts are saying, don’t put all your eggs in one basket lol. Omg. I’ve turned into my dad.
PokerFace 47
Sweden's biggest newspapers gave the single 3/5 "Gaga promises that she can cast out demons and dark thoughts with her fiery treatment: "I could play the doctor, I can cure your disease/If you were a sinner, I could make you believe". On the surface, the song is in the bedroom, but it is not difficult to imagine how it can also work in a large concert hall where thousands of equally devoted and misunderstood fans want nothing more than to be seen and healed by Queen Gaga." ""Disease" of course danced its way through all the security checks of the California Hit Ministry before it was released on the market. But a first single from a new Gaga album this far into her career would have liked to have signaled something a little more risky and unexpected." https://www.aftonbladet.se/nojesbladet/musik/a/mPz3vE/lady-gaga-disease-recension

I think what I’m looking for is a community that can connect certainly on Gaga but I want that to expand. The disease would be running in the same loop but expecting change. Just might be time for me to step outside the loop and create another one that eventually I’ll have to step out of. I think Gen z gets it best. They don’t worship idols, they put themselves first. lol
