I really like the song but I kinda get what you mean - they could have played a little more with harmonies during certain parts to make the vocals more smooth.

But at the same time I think this "rough" style is on purpose and it fits in well with the dark vibe of the song.

Overall, one of her most solid leads, much better than SL or PI, and it makes me excited for the full album, I know for a fact it'll be all the fans want

It’s so catchyyy. I love it and the larger picture it’s opening. Gaga still is that artist that subverts expectations and surprises us every single time. She’s with new producers this time around and I’m so happy for her and us. 
I just see her in the studio listening to the song, rocking her lil tush out, smiling, dancing and eating the hard bass and that makes me happy when I listen to it. If you wanna have top40 pop music that’s fine, listen to someone else and I don’t mean it in a bitter way, but maybe Gaga just isn’t for you this time/era around AND THAT IS FINE. spread love and cheeks, not negativityyyyy

unfortunately i think the GPs over gagas pop material. they wanna hear ASIB/DWAS type of music that shows off her talent. i do not see this charting well at all - i hope im wrong but it sounds like a promo single to me and not lead single material. with each listen it grows on me, and its more interesting sonically and vocally than anything on todays radio, but its not exactly smash hit material, more like a deep cut that her harcore fans will love

It's not an Instant Mainstream Pop Smash like Bad Romance, but it's dark pop perfection, this type of song is a grower for sure, but I absolutely love it tbh.

The music video + live performances would make it iconic

Mother Monster never does the same thing twice so I wasn't expecting a copy-paste of Poker Face or Bad Romance, but I do expect the next singles to be more mainstream, for now, this lead is perfect for Halloween and for fans to get a general vibe of the album

I really enjoy it. The suggestive, industrial production is everything! Though I think the lyrics are a bit to basic, but this has been the case for a while. I'm sure she will make a point of them at Zane Lowe, trying to make them more complicated than they actually are.

Sounds generated by an AI bot fed on Gaga’s discography. Meaning it didn’t explore anything new and unique for her. However I was feeling like that about Stupid Love too when it first came out and now I think it’s such a solid song! Let’s see if the video changes my perception.

I think she's singing this song on the studio, as she sings on her live shows. It's deliberately raw, and it's something I saw other vocalists do, after touring for years. 

I think she deliberately tried to put the energy from her live shows, on this recording. And she succeeded if that was her intention. 

It has the grittiness of her live performances.

Absolutely mesmerized since the first listen, and it's on loop since almost 3 hours now!

I've noticed that the instrumental reminds me of HML during chorus, and I was truly craving instrumentals like that. Chromatica didn't serve in this matter, and this makes me relive core Gaga memories, when listening
