Its a near-unique American thing. There's a difference between a celebrity who's is regularly politicially active and one who cycles out an endorsement each cycle. I remember a celeb turning up to support the local parliamentary campaign I was working on in 2015, the celeb was not known for talking politics and it was very much just a "Look at me" photo op and it was sooooo annoying. This is precisely it though. Non-Americans only care about our foreign policy, which is disastrous. But if you actually live in the US, we have to care about domestic issues as well, and Kamala Harris is the clear choice for anyone with a brain. Everyone should do their own research and not be influenced by endorsements. I wonder if it's an American thing? I don't think this happens in the UK.
