The entire movie after a certain point revolved around her but fans are melting down because her face wasn't visible 100% of the time? A lot of you are being a bit overdramatic. Not you, Mr. Dandy! But definitely some people in this thread and across this site. Pleaaase! Call me Roughhouse; Mr. Dandy's my mother's name lol This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss. selenalavigne 1,433
Sure, it’s not my favorite movie. But i definitely really liked it. I think people will be able to relate to it. It’s worth seeing. It’s a 3.5/5. Edited October 6 by selenalavigne Ready to Stan LG7

Guillaume Hamon 5,983
Some actress got Oscars nom' for way less screen time like 18 min or even less. Glen close also got one for her hillbilly role that was having around 35% on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie ain't getting best pic/ director etc but maybe Gaga will get a nom.

Alfonso 1,398
I thought it wasn’t that bad. People should go see it without listening to the reviews or comments and just enjoy it. I do think the transitions were kinda abrupt and I wish we would have seen more of the crazy Harley scenes they did, other than that it was ok. One thing I found weird was how short the waltz song was Edited October 6 by Alfonso
JustifyMyLove 2,588
To me it felt like she had 10 minutes of screentime and 7 of dialogue literally Julia Volkova #1 stan

Yep, I agree... The scene is beautiful but why would they shorten it? It felt mutilated, the intro was beautiful but I was expecting them to use the full song. I hope they find a way to get that nom, Gaga deserves something good from all of this mess Edited October 6 by LG2008
StrawberryBlond 14,087
I think the upside of this is that we know for a fact that she'll be gunning for Best Supporting Actress without a shadow of a doubt. I was worried going in if this would be a case of category fraud and she'd be presented as supporting when she's actually got enough screen-time for lead. That could majorly impact her chances of not only winning but even being nominated if voting committees think there's a disconnect there. But this length of time is actually perfect. This is truly one of those films where the supporting actress steals the show and is the part everyone talks about the most and it's instances like this that usually win awards. And the supporting actress category is wide open this year, Gaga's the only one who's got major buzz for this. And actresses have been nominated for and won this award for much less screen-time. Judi Dench won best supporting for Shakespeare In Love and she was onscreen for just over 8 minutes overall. Above all, the award is for acting, not film quality. The downside? Nominations are one thing, but I fear how her actually winning would have with her perception among the public. Yes, they might acknowledge she acted well, but if it was in a movie that the majority of people hated, it's a bittersweet win at best. We naturally want her to win for a role where everyone agrees that it's well-deserved (this is why I'm glad now that she never won for Til It Happens To You back in the day, that was a blessing in disguise and made her winning for Shallow years later so much sweeter). I don't think she would ultimately suffer for it but there would be a feeling of unrest if she won. If she doesn't win an Oscar for it, I'd love to see her pick up a GG or a SAG at the very least. I'm hoping the entire cast may well be considered for an SAG as I don't think anyone acted badly.
GagaTheExplorer 2,710
This movie had no reason to exist Doesn't please neither original audiences nor Gaga fans, so what was it made for? 1
