I am quite shocked at the hate the movie and Gaga are receiving for this..... DailyMail has a whole post bashing Gaga, same with other publications like Consequence etc. Most comments I was reading were also blaming Gaga for how 'bad' the movie is..... I am yet to see it, but is it really this bad?? It seems like Gaga doesn't have much luck with the GP unless she releases wedding GP friendly ballads.......

Screaming. This is kinda hilarious actually. That's what the director deserves for cutting out Gaga. :huntyga:

well the director was getting the heat before the movie came out. Now that people has seen it everyone blames Gaga because its an actual musical as if she made the decisions

SHALLOW

This tells me people are just overreacting cause they had different expectations. I still have to watch it but i think I'm gonna like it.

It's a bummer they cut those Gaga scenes tho. I was really looking forward to see them

That would easily explain why Gaga's barely in it even though she had much more scenes. They all were scrapped in that trailer

Wow is this true? I've been trying not to read too much and not able to go see it for a couple weeks from now

The fact she didn’t even post. Pack it up and let’s move on. No chance of saving this sunken ship.

Some of ya'll should practice not letting the perception of others cloud your judgment. Go see the movie yourselves and then form your own opinion afterward. This movie is not the worst thing to come out this year and people are behaving like Gaga personally made this movie what it was. The level of outrage my goodness; some people really need to go outside and get some air and while they're doing that maybe hug a tree cause touching grass is not enough.

The thing that Gaga needs is a good director, not wedding ballads.

Both Todd Phillips and Ridley Scott are mediocre at best and it shows so clearly. At least Gucci was entertaining despite awful editing, JFAD drags itself until nowhere. The music adds nothing to the movie, not to mention Harley herself....This movie had so much potential to show love between two crazies, portray madness like a one big acid trip during Arthur's fantasy scenes.

No more Oscar baits, no more "Gaga and her troubled lover" movies. She needs a good screenplay where she can truly shine by herself.

Gaga get that A24 gig pls

...has anybody seen my disco stick?

I saw JFAD in IMAX and they played two trailers for Gladiator II and I didn't realize Ridley Scott was behind that. I immediately thought, another movie with a plot spiraling all over the place by him with a few big names such as Denzel Washington and Pedro Pascal. I'm like you know what, @Ophelia you're right because their direction style can only be compromised with so much. I could tell watching JFAD that Gaga was the only one who worked well with her material but that's because she knows how to tell a story working with a messy script just like with HoG. It's unfortunate because removing biases, she was the only thing I enjoyed about the movie and I actually liked the first JOKER film.

Butters Stotch

At this point I have to recognize I got excited about this movie because of Gaga, but I remember thinking it was a terrible idea when the rumors that se was going to be cast first started.

I think most people already decided that the movie was gonna be bad before seeing it and there's no turning back from that.
