Minus the Martha part, BVS actually had a very good plot, creating Doomsday from another Kryptonian's DNA and great fight scenes between Batman and Superman and the team-up or first appearance of Wonder Woman. Suicide Squad, I dont know but its more enjoyable and a lot of people dressed up with those red and blue Harley Quinn Margot Robbie outfit plus it had some special effects. Comic books fans alone would not be able to make the score this low. It just doesn’t work that way. The general audience had to hate this just as much if not more for this. I know there’s a knee jerk reaction to blame this all on comic book fans but we really can’t. They play a part but average ordinary people don’t like this either.

LateToCult 39,636
This movie is not polarizing or divisive. It’s a literal bomb with only a handful of people here and there that like it.

Edonis 28,604
WB desperately trying to not market this as a musical hurt it just as much as how badly the musical aspect and script was handled. If you're going to take a comic book IP and be risky with it without tact, you're going to get a bomb that's hated by almost everyone. what a mess.
Reality 71,859
8 minutes ago, Future Lovers said: Oh this is gonna bomb. That’s the lowest CinemaScore for a comic book movie ever. For those of you here who don’t know what CinemaScore is, it is a company who polls audiences who go to see a movie on opening weekend and they ask those audiences what they thought of a film. This is not a critical score. This is not a review. This is the average of what the audiences who saw the film on its opening weekend felt about the film. Though not always, CinemaScore is usually the best indication for what a movie box office prospects are. The higher the cinema score for a blockbuster, the more likely that blockbuster is to make a lot of money. This is essentially the indicator for what the movie’s word-of-mouth is going to be. For most genres other than horror for a CinemaScore to be considered good it would need to be a B+ or higher. Blockbusters should ever slip below B+ hopes to really be a breakout hit. Some have managed to do it but very few and far between. For a tentpole IP blockbuster to get a D that means the audience had to really hate it. And keep in mind, this is opening weekend audience so this wanted to be there opening weekend. They WANTED to see this. They were excited for it. I honestly think a lot of this has to do with how deceptively this movie was marketed. I don’t think audiences were going to love it regardless because this plot is really aggressively not what anybody wanted and has stuff people were going to hate no matter what, but the marketing straight up lied about what this movie is and it’s pissing people off. Yeah, a tentpole film falling below a B+ is seen as bad, so this is abysmal. I'm interested to see what the 2nd weekend drop-off will be. I wouldn't be surprised if it's in the 80s tbh. I haven't seen the film yet, but I've been spoiled, so I know what happens. I'm seeing it tomorrow and honestly, at this point, I'm just morbidly curious. I want to really enjoy this film because it combines my love of Gaga, comic books, and the first Joker film, but everything's telling me I'll think it's ok at best. I hope I'm proven wrong. At this point though, I kinda have to laugh at how awful the movie is doing—and hey, maybe that's what Joker would've wanted too 𝕀𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕒 𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕟𝕖𝕣, 𝕀 𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕞𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕓𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕖𝕧𝕖
