i know that working with Ridley or co-star on Joker 2 looked good on paper but, the paper you need to be good is the f script.

Like, I could understand that mentality when we were all teens, but we're literally geriatric now, we are WAY too old, to care whether or not Taylor stans on Twitter laugh at her chart placements. It is such an exhausting way to experience an artist's work. Constantly focusing on how other people perceive it, whether it is accepted by the masses or not, etc. 

She's not an emerging artist anymore, she's got nothing to prove. If one of her project flops, whatever, is not like she's struggling to pay rent . 

She took a risk with Joker, critics do not seem to be on board with it, life goes on, is not that deep, lol.

I'm gonna go see it because am a fan of the first one and Gaga, but from the reviews I've heard so far - my expectations are super low. This might be the type of film that ends up being labelled "we did not need or ask for this"...but I hope not!

She is pretty great but she’s barely in it. It didnt even feel like a supporting role to me. The way they have edited around her in the movie, she hardly has any impact.

While its obvious she really connected with Harley Quin as a character, I've always felt like part of why she signed up for JFAD is that it felt like an Oscar bait sequel given the success of the first. 

It was always a risk to go with a comic book universise film franchise though - especially the DC cinematic universe which is the messiest of messy.

It's sad, but at the same time like others said, who cares lmao. Gaga seems super happy with her experience making the film and that's the most important

I mean I wish it would do really well and get awards, but at least it's divisive which I think it's kinda cool. I only am hoping that Gaga's not upset or sad about it

It kinda bums me out that people aren't liking it, of course, and I also saw some people with that discourse "why did they put a pop star, it always ruins the movies, Gaga is playing herself again, she is not acting" and I hate that BUT on the other hand it was so fun and fulfilling watching the incels cry and cry yesterday saying that the second movie looks like an apology for making the first one and that they "castrated" Joker. If misogynistic men are sad, I'm happy. The movie did a good job in the end.

We get a huge movie where she's playing an iconic character that's feeding her creatively, she's happy, releasing music, and most people are praising her performance, but because it's not the most universally loved film... some of yall want the whole "era" to be over before it even releases worldwide? Why are numbers and random reviews more important to you than what she wants? Why should she move on from when we knew from the jump a lot of people were going to complain about the movie no matter what? 

This is why she's the artist and some of yall are just the public.

A win for us because this made her not ready to let go of the character (now we know why because she was barely in it) even when filming wrapped hence why we got LG6.5

I had hopes that she was going to be involved in some groundbreaking masterpiece, and I loved the trailers, but obviously now that's not how it's gonna be. I'm still looking forward to seeing it though, and based on what I've seen and heard I know that I MIGHT like it. Most of the reviews I've seen on youtube have been negative,but they have almost all been by people who were clearly big fans of the Batman/Joker genre. Well I'm not in that group, so this movie still has a chance with me.
