Exactly. Shes totally holding her own in the industry. They claim shes fading because they think no one paid attention to her (tour, perfume, rolling stones performance, etc). But she got more exposure for all those things than 90% of celebrities would normally get! When Katy Perry was on tour I didn't even know! Who knew Nicki Minaj even toured besides her fans? I didn't. A lot of people know Gagas been on tour. Who knew Christina Aguilera and Avril Lavigne had perfumes? Unless you shop at Kohls or are a stan exposure for them on that front was dead silent. Everyone knew Gaga had a perfume and obviously everyone bought it. She gets so much exposure yet they're acting like no one cares. To be honest I think the writers behind a lot of these articles are using their platform to make her fade, the more they write that no one cares about her anymore the more they're forcing that to the front of public conscience and it becomes truth. They want her to fade.

As long as she has millions of fans like us around the world filling up her shows and buying her ****, this lady ain't going anywhere. :cool:

As much as they want her to fade, there is an opposing force keeping that from happening. Also, if she gains more fans with ARTPOP, that will be the next generation of fans and thus more to follow her. Boom! Critics will only grow old and bitter to their ends, while Lady Gaga continues to build her legacy that will be remembered long after her passing.

The article is mean-spirited, but they got that part so right. It's no wonder people are losing interest. It still confuses me to this day why she waited so long to go on tour.

Not ****ed up in the sense that its a failure, ****ed up as a figure of speech like its not that smart to start a tour so late for an album that was released so long ago, especially one that wasn't as big as The Fame Monster.

i agree that it should start right after the album release.but o think their plan was to hype the audince right before ARTPOP and because they werent planning to release ARTPOP soon they waited.ARTPOP will be more than 2 years after born this way

If she doesn't have new music on the radio or old ones on rotation than its like she doesn't exist here. It annoys me that people only consider that being relevant, but shes not Little Boots. Shes a Top 40 pop star. Not being on the charts hurts her. What annoys me more is that they insinuate that shes "done" or that shes not going to return. When in actuality as soon as ARTPOP is released it will be like she never left. The only full truth in this article is the whole "touring for a 2 year old album thing". THAT ****ed this tour up moreso than anything else to be honest. Not that it isn't doing great. Whats wrong with her not being queen of the universe though? People were so hellbent on knocking her down off of her pedestal and now that shes playing on fair ground they want to tear her down to nothing. It stupid.

I mean look at Ke$ha. She had a hit song on the radio but no one really gives a ****. Look at Madonna, her album tanked hard. Thats falling, even if her tour did well. She doesn't have the same pull with new music. Look at Nicki Minaj, her rerelease did so ****ing ****ty as well as its singles. Is that considered falling? No. She's supposed to be one of the biggest pop stars and she cant even fill arenas, she does theatre tours. Gagas filling up stadiums/arenas and hasn't even released new music and everyones acting like she just released an album and it tanked. Until that happens, shes not really irrelevant. If she releases this album and it does terribly than fine. The only reason people like this reviewer are acting like her attendance numbers are bad (which is so twisted) is because she hasn't had new music in forever and everyone wants to compare her **** to Madonna, who is 30 years into her career and always tours well. Meanwhile shes doing better than her peers! Shes touring better than them! How can that possibly make this tour a failure, like I don't even understand why people insist on painting her in a negative light but its being done on purpose.

Most of the things are true but I dont see most of it as a bad thing.. like these:

*What could we expect when she's on tour to promote an album ("Born This Way") that was released in May 2011?

*Too often she didn't assert her voice during songs, letting the recorded backup singers carry the choruses while she concentrated on choreography

*she talked plenty, about herself and self-love. But it felt more self-aggrandizing than self-empowering. (wich I dont think is wrong I love to know more of Gaga shes very interesting)

*The current Born This Way Ball tour is complex and disjointed.

*this presentation made it clear why Gaga, even though she's no longer hot, still matters to her Little Monsters

What's sad is half the population relies on media for their news. There are so many spiteful, belligerent and petty jerks out there - they make up a serious chunk of the GP, sadly - who go through life seeking ways to stroke their own ego. Gaga's artistic vision goes way over their heads and it makes them feel insecure, which in turn makes them feel the need to ridicule it so they can still think they're above everything else. They also lack the basic amount of empathy that is required to connect with other people, to try to see where they are coming from and which makes people have a desire to grow and learn more about the world around them instead of just going round and round mentally circle-jerking their way through life with the limited tools they have at their disposal in that puny brain of theirs. A lot of people are not very intelligent (whether it be cognitive ability-wise or emotionally) in general and this one happens to have access to a newspaper to spew his idiocy, unfortunately.

This "review" is beyond reprehensible.

I do agree with the gentleman that the concept was disjointed and confusing -- with the Monster Ball, we knew it was Dorothy lost in Central Park after midnight, coming to the rave of the century where they play Bad Romance (after fighting a giant deep sea anglerfish with a discostick) That we could follow.

All of this wacky Mother Goat and alien fugitive and castle didn't fit cohesively.

Castle makes me think wonderful lavish mediaval inspired costumes and an electro Rapunzel signing Speechless from the turrets and towers. I love the fact the castle opened up like a dollhouse and we could see so many clothes and stairways and bricks and mortar and doors and passageways, it was as though she was our living queen doll and we could watch her play amongst the backdrop of knights and horses.
