"Im a critic do I'll spew any offensive **** and they'll publish it"

Basically. I'm personally offended at the last comment. I'm not a fuking misfit.

I'm about 99% sure I was sitting behind this guy. I pointed him out to my boyfriend during Madeon's set because he looked so incredibly ****ing bored, and my boyfriend suggested that he might be a reporter especially since he looked like he was alone. His picture on the Strib site looks familiar too. Anyway, he remained seated the entire concert, still looking bored, while every single person around him was dancing. Unsurprisingly, his review is completely off. She gave such a passionate performance last night!

And seriously, "Lady Weirdo"? Uhh...okay. She only poured her heart out to us when she started crying during The Edge of Glory

Just when I thought the article for the Dallas show was bad, this was disgusting. Even at her most precious moments, they call her Lady Weirdo? What is with these people? :wtf:

There are so many spiteful, belligerent and petty jerks out there - they make up a serious chunk of the GP, sadly - who go through life seeking ways to stroke their own ego. Gaga's artistic vision goes way over their heads and it makes them feel insecure, which in turn makes them feel the need to ridicule it so they can still think they're above everything else. They also lack the basic amount of empathy that is required to connect with other people, to try to see where they are coming from and which makes people have a desire to grow and learn more about the world around them instead of just going round and round mentally circle-jerking their way through life with the limited tools they have at their disposal in that puny brain of theirs. A lot of people are not very intelligent (whether it be cognitive ability-wise or emotionally) in general and this one happens to have access to a newspaper to spew his idiocy, unfortunately.

This "review" is beyond reprehensible.

Stop reading after

"Now, Gaga isn't on the radio. Or the pop charts. Or the Grammys."

Umm, what?

Why would she be on pop charts or at the Grammys if she has no music out and is not nominated for anything? Are they serious?

Exactly. :smh:

For the sake of Sponge Bob,

please do not even mind it. I've written similar posts regarding this issue: who are the critics, actually? Just another human being who got the right to publish his thoughts and impressions on the pages of a website. Like why should we value his opinion more than other people's thoughts?

Gaga has a very special show for a very special audience. What I honestly like about her is that she has no fear of being different from album to album, from show to show, from fashion to fashion. You see, she just decided to have a sort of more surrealistic and not that plain storytelling after The Monster Ball. The story of the Monster Ball was really easy to get, as it was told right as it was. Once Gaga changes her way of narrative in the show - most critics start to call it "not cohesive". Seriously, to all of them: could you please f*ck up your cliche thinking and understand that abstract, impressionist, cubist, realist, surrealist and classicist artist will all paint a vase in different vase. Gaga just did something different, and risking to sound like a snob: if you don't understand it, that doesn't mean she is not doing good. They are all demanding Gaga to stick to the Monster Ball , to the Fame, to wearing a meat dress, to generate buzz and so on.

But she is another kind of artist: while they are diving in criticism, she is busy building up her legacy. She is not a prisoner, they will not define her.

I don't get why this guy's acting as if Gaga just put out an album/single that nobody wants to buy or that the radio won't play.

 at Gaga having an expiration date just because she hasn't put an album out in nearly two years.

"What could we expect when she's on tour to promote an album ("Born This Way") that was released in May 2011?"

He answered his own concerns.

The only thing we can agree on is that she uses a lot of backing track. During the first dates it wasn't as heavy, but as the tour progressed she used it more and more.

Agreed! I only wish those with your perspective would write reviews instead of folks who in trying to be objective, they come off sounding snobbish. It would be refreshing to read from someone who understands art and where the artist is coming from.

I don't even mind that he expressed criticisms about the show, that is something to be expected. I just don't like how he passes her off like a has been and pecks her with insults that have no bearing on her artistry or her personality as a human being.

I love how she went from everywhere to nowhere in less than 4 years and you guys are expecting people to NOT think she's faded off into irrelevance.

I think most of us just would like to have more faith in people than that. Lol, I totally get that she's been gone for quite some time, but there's also a perfectly logical explanation for that (she's been on a world tour for almost a year now--one that's doing HUGE numbers, too, and is by all accounts incredibly successful and lucrative)--so to pass her off as a has-been is either lazy or biased reporting. Not to mention her uber-successful perfume launch. The only gauges we have to measure Gaga's relevancy right now very clearly indicate that she's doing just fine, and to write in a way that suggests otherwise is just tiring in its laziness. Other than that, though, I have no problems with bad reviews. To be honest, the show has always looked a bit underwhelming to me, so I'm not totally surprised by the few negative reviews that have been cropping up.

We have 95 positive reviews out of 100, who cares about someone who clearly didn't understand the show? I don't.
