Keeo 281
I enjoyed it. I agree with there being too much singing and would have loved a bit more unhinged Harley, but I don't get the negativity.

Or explain it in a different way. The fact that Warner refused to screen this movie was a business mistake. A lot of this issued could’ve been brought to life and Philips could’ve adjusted (not changed), his vision to make it a little more comprehensive. There’s nothing wrong with adjusting your art so it reaches more people. Edited October 6 by andy232000

I just watched Joker for the first time and honestly I thought it was a very impressive film. One of the best films I've ever watched actually. I know that Joker was divisive and the fact I loved it makes me think I may also like FAD, despite the negative reviews. Just go into it willing to think, without any pre conceived notion. You'll surely enjoy it. It truly wraps the story as is very real.
Sepsami 17,705
I'd say the story is very messy and all over the place. There were some great scenes like the breakout scene set my expectations sky high. But it was pretty much downhill from there. I also did not expect it to a courtroom film. The musical scenes were sometimes too short. I would have preferred if they put in less musical scenes but made them longer and more extravagant, you know, showcase the fantasy that the joker and especially Lee are so obsessed with. I wouldn't reccommend it and you are probably going to be disappointed if you loved the first film, without even taking into account the musical aspect (which I love).
SimonBaetens 6,745
Sooooo I saw it tonight. First of all I want to say I think Gaga did an amazing job, I am very proud of her. The movie as a whole though is very… inconsistent? There’s a lot of great scenes and the musical moments are outstanding. But the story doesn’t go anywhere… like at all. That explosion at the height of Joker’s monologue is such a lazy intervention?? Like why?? And Harleen’s back story is so poorly thought out. It feels like they wanted to give Joker as a character another chance to shine and while Phoenix is absolutely phenomenal, the overall plot lacks a motor and intention. I give it a 3/5 because the actors give great performances and the production design is great. But the story lacks vision. when you're lonely, I'll be lonely too / https://www.last.fm/user/SimonBaetens 4

Alfonso 1,402
It was ok, not the worst and definitely not the best. Personally, I felt more entertained by this one than the original, but yeah, I wish they would've showcased more of the crazy Harley than what they did. The transitions of scenes also seemed off.

FAD is certainly not as bad as many people make it out to be, but it's the inferior film imo. Joaquin’s hardly a traditional Joker. I feel like people going into the film expecting a comic accurate Joker and Harley were setting themselves up for failure. The first movie made it abundantly clear that this is not what this universe is. Yes. But les be honest the merchandice of this movie was the provlem... they put the scenes to seems like a bomb action crazy love movie kindest regards

Bowman 7,855
I finally saw Joker tonight, and honestly the film wasn’t bad at all. At least not as bad as the reputation it has at the moment. Gaga and Joaquin were incredible, their acting was just superb - 10/10. I’ve never felt more proud of Gaga as a life long fan. Watching her at the cinema with my family is so special. *Spoiler* my issues with this film: Spoiler For me, I wish there was just a bit more fun and action and more of a storyline with Lee. It was a bit slow in the courtroom scenes and was a bit boring in some parts. I’d say the biggest controversy was the ending when Arthur was stabbed. I was hoping after joker escaped he could have met with Lee and looked up the stairs to her dancing. And that’s why I’m so gutted Todd removed that scene from the film… Joker and Lee should have escaped and ran away and let the audience decide on the ending. Rather than killing Joker. I give the film a 7/10 Check out my new single 'Loon' - https://open.spotify.com/track/7q1GGm2mBlC9hPWige0C6e?si=6b5319d0e3b44fa6
