I do not believe that the acting president of the united states did absolutely nothing to protect the capital. Im not sure exactly what happened, nobody for sure knows. But i find it very hard to believe that nothing was done at all. 
 

i do however believe, that neither side is being truly honest about what happened to avoid taking full responsibility. Again, i do not support trump. But i really do not believe he is solely responsible for what happened. There are many things at play in a situation like this. And regardless or not if nancy pelosi took accountability for it, i also do not believe she is fully responsible either. As I've said many times before, i think both sides are questionable. All i was trying to say in my initial post is that i do not believe trump is 100% at fault for the situation, despite his reputation and failure to communicate things clearly.

Anyways, at the end of the day. I do not want him back in office. All i was saying in my initial statement is i do trust most politicians and i wish we had different people running this year. I have never been nervous for an election like this one. Thank you for discussing with me in a respectful manner.

Again, i understand your viewpoint. But i still believe this is a culture/heart problem. I would never resort to violence or ransack anything for any of the people i support. Radicals are dangerous. I would like to see peace in america. The past 8 years have been terrible with riots, storming and violence.

And i must play devils advocate, trump in no way endorsed what happened on January 6th, and offered to send troops to aid and was declined. Nancy Pelosi has already accepted responsibility for this and the fact that she still got to keep her job after an L like that is questionable in its own. People have gotten so self absorbed, selfish, and have no respect for differing opinions or lives in general. And this is both sides. As for Kamala, everyone seems to forget she has already been in office for the past 4 years as part of the BIDEN administration and all of the issues she’s attempting to address, are issues that came about during her time in the white house and instead of pushing Biden to do what he can in the remaining time he has left, she is distancing herself from him and trying to win voters over with it. Not to mention she LIED about the border security. Because without that, she really has nothing to run on.  

so personally, i don't really care who my mindset “helps” my opinion effects nothing until i sign a ballot and this election is terrifying because neither candidate is being transparent on how they plan to implement their ideas and either vote is a shot in the dark. This is the very first time i have not been able to decide who to vote for

 

You’re repeating every talking point about Jan 6 that Trump says in his crazy rallies, and if Jan 6 was the only problem, he was caught asking for officials to “find” him the votes he needed in Georgia. Recently he admitted he lost, he tried to dismantle democracy by creating a completely chaotic environment. Before him, did you see any candidate trying to undermine the democratic process? Not accepting not only his defeat but also saying that even when he won it was actually by a lot and there was fraud. 

This is the extreme right playbook, in Brazil the vote is done in machines and they say that it should be by paper bc it isn’t trustworthy. In US they use every ballot detail to create the same narratives. This isn’t a “both sides” thing. If we talk about social and economic issues it’s a mess as well, this was the guy who said in official speech about injecting bleach to kill the covid virus, this is the guy who’s spreading fake news created by neonazis to spread hate on legal immigrants.

Biden has always explained how he plans to implement his ideas and goals. When running he would answer his questions directly as they were asked.

Trump and Kamala are not doing the same. And kamala has lied several times about the border crisis. Of course i would prefer to vote biden in. Before his mind started going he was a pretty decent candidate. All of the extra points you are making about covid are irrelevant, i am not backing trump. I do not want him back in office.

Yep. He has no limits. There is nothing that he won't say or do in his attempts to win (or steal) the election. Current betting odds (which is where you will find the least bs) show Harris as favourite. As we get closer to November there is no telling what Trump will do if it looks like he's going to lose.

I'm not saying you are endorsing Trump, even though you give him a platform for his narratives here. I'm saying that they're not the same, this politicians' ways of getting out of what they're being pressured are here since the beginning of times. In the US and all over the world, that's how media works. You answer just one point and keep the others bc you don't have any way to defend the point that they are equal. One is a traditional politician, doing what politicians do, the other is an extremist that not only admit admittedly loves dictators, admittedly wants to be one. Both parties has people who have ties with lobbies, but only one party is creating fake stories about legal immigrants, LGBTQIA+ people to get civil rights back to what they thought it was best. So yeah, many social issues would solve themselves if citizens learned how to tolerate and treat each other, but don't you think when Trump got in this got much worse? All he does since forever is namecalling, bullying, and throwing hate at everyone who doesn't like what he says. Politics wasn't this way before him. See how Obama and Mccain treated each other, and Obama with Romney, god if what happened to Al Gore happened with Trump I don't even know if you guys would have a country. 
My point is, what these EXTREME guys want the most is for you to say that they're equal to the other side. Bc then they're normal. I can't picture biden or any big democratic figure say anyone is eating pets without any proof, just bc some nazi group said it. And after that double down on it even when students have to get out of school bc of bomb threats bc of that fake news. The democratic party and the MAGA party (bc the republican party doesn't even exist anymore) are not the same.

He is definitely far from normal but i feel that kind of goes without saying? There has never been a president as outspoken and unpredictable as Donald J Trump and there will probably never be.

You’re entitled to have your opinion, I said this from the beginning, this is, while you still have a democracy. I’m just saying that is wrong to say that someone who’s says and acts like a dictator and someone who plays by the rules as “the same”. And still you didn’t show any argument that proves that, you just say it again. 
Do you imagine if everyone thought as you do? That you’re nobody, in a swing state, while the guy running tried to overturn the election results multiple times? Even your argument about you personally not believing the pets are being eaten by immigrants just bc a politician said is selfish, a politician has power, not only of doing things but also of influencing others to do. I brought the facts of what happened after, and they doubled down on it, instead of at least moving on. His vice presidential candidate even said that they’ll create anything if they have to, just to bring their message. And they got that fake news from a nazi group for god’s sake. 

It takes courage to make a choice, even when you don’t feel so good about the one that seems best, I hope we don’t have to wait for history to prove my point to you.
