says the serial sampler  :madge:

she only had 1 sample and 1 interpolation on her last album and she always credits and pays artists that she samples.

Well yeah that’s what I mean, she has been sampling consistently

(and I like the songs and she obviously pays artists)

but it’s kinda funny she’s the one worried about artist work interpolation getting out of hand :3

no hate tho luv her

It's funny how she is the first one to say something against it while none of the big names has said anything yet :billie:

I asked AI to respond to Ava Max (with sarcasm) :

Ah, another plea for artist protection. It's almost as if artists haven't been exploited since the dawn of time. Maybe this time, the promise of "fair compensation" and "legal frameworks" will actually amount to something other than a slap on the wrist for tech giants. Or maybe, just maybe, artists will finally realize that the only way to truly protect themselves is to unionize and demand real power. But who am I kidding? That would actually require effort.

She's right but that's never going to happen. The day gen AI companies have to pay for the data they're using to build and run their products is the day they go under. There's a reason why these mega corporations are so against regulation, generative AI is nothing without the massive amounts of data they steal and there's no way they can afford to pay for it all.

AI is great but gen AI is a big can of worms. I'm so ready for the bubble to burst.

She isn't wrong. AI can be damaging or even dangerous. Having legal frameworks in place to protect musicians as public figures would be prudent.
