tlittlemonster 2,459 Posted September 29, 2024 Share Posted September 29, 2024 This record feels like an amazing album to listen to in the run up to Christmas. ⛄ I think LM should just stay away from Stan Twitter for the time being and enjoy the best of the album, the movie release next week and then the Lg7 lead in a couple days/weeks. This release was never meant to be a mainstream album, so the numbers mean nothing. As long as the music is good (which it is), that's all that matters. No hate to Katy Perry, but by comparison, 143 is just objectively bad music, it's sonically outdated and the lyrics are just terrible. Even if the album was #1 in the world and had 1B streams, our opinion wouldn't change. At the end of the French verse, she declares Je vous adore.
