I'd fire someone if they issued an unauthorised apology in my name. I dont care what the situation is, if you work for me ask me before making any moves.

That being said, I had hoped her comments were taken out of context but I fear Janet knew and meant what she said. I just wish she just kept her mouth shut on this.

happy he was fired. It may be those were her thoughts and she wanted to apologize but dont do it until SHE tells u to do it. PR ppl and assistants getting to brave and speaking for u is one of the worst things you can do to an artist probably.

Now Trump is probably going to start using “Nasty” at his rallies and talk about how Kamala is nasty and everyone knows it, even Janet.

Regardless of the circumstances, putting out a public statement on behalf of your boss without their approval is literally asking to get fired.

Honestly she should look at how many empty seats she has for her UK tour dates next week before firing the dude trying to save her from a PR omnishambles.

Right? And it's literally his job as PR / Manager to do these things without her strict approval, as he's doing what's best for her career

I mean it's never clear black & white for PR.

Celebrity PR employees are there to handle drama as quickly as possible to minimise potential damage. He very clearly did that.
She's decided she wants to be on record pushing alt-right racism instead.
