I’m surprised she was so gagged at being asked what these cryptic posts mean. She’s trying to generate speculation so it’s the most natural question but maybe no one usually asks her so directly. Bless him.

As somebody who isn't really a little chartster, I don't understand how in the streaming era, you can have as many songs out as you want and they don't clash. Like....the soundtrack, the harlequin EP (and it's obviously getting a single given this teasing)....LG7 lead, joker film....how come they're not clashing?

edit: not that i'm complaining

i feel liek there was a "Joker 2 questions only" kind of rule hence why in another interview she seemed a little surprised / confused when the reporter was asking her questions about herself lol! Glad this guy broke the rule and gagged her like that lol!

i think gagas legitimately excited for what shes about to release be it lg7, joker, secret project, etc. which is suchhh a refreshing experience and its soo nice to see how much happier and confident she seems.

i found pre joanne interviews hard to watch and pre chromatica interviews just had such a sad aura about them so its wonderful to see everything going well for her at the moment and her life and health seems to be good again :traumatica:

Agreed. I don't like to be overly parasocial and act like we know anything - but she definitely had a certain vibe from 2016-2020. Joanne she was pretty open how much of that album came from a place of family trauma, and how making it she hoped could heal it, but it didn't work. Chromatica she did her best to paint it in a fun pop light, but the lyrics were some of her darkest honestly. She also would talk about letting others take over, tell her what to do, change the direction of the songs - and she would do it to tell a story about how it changed and frame it as praise. But something always felt off about that, like the energy felt like she just didn't enjoy making the majority of it.

This current period, she just seems so happy, joyful, and itching to share the work now that it's almost ready. It's really something that mirrors how she was leading up to Born This Way and ARTPOP. It's nice to see her this publicly excited again without having to be in full marketing mode

It has an intrinsic relation to the streaming era itself. Before then, people had to be informed that the artist was about to release a new project and had to search for a local store to buy a physical copy of it. In that scenario, it was risky releasing more than one project at the same time because it would dissipate sales or even split the great media's attention.

In the streaming era, multiple songs increase playlisting and the reach of the artist within the platform. That's why older songs can become hits or go viral, since the consumption of the whole catalog benefits from one or two hits, and we celebrate Gaga's monthly listeners getting bigger every day. After Die With a Smile, as an example, Judas and Always Remember Us This Way started to gain force.
