TEANUS 12,413
I don’t think they’re comparable at all…in my opinion 143 isn’t that bad quality of an album. It’s pretty bland, but the production (unfortunately) has a lot of good moments because he is a veteran. It’s hard to listen to tho knowing he produced the tracks, therefore it’s not really an enjoyable, love-channeling experience like she says she wanted it to be. If Gaga and RedOne worked together again there wouldn’t be any controversy around it and he’d probably be forced to push his own boundaries again British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS

I think I'm done wanting Gaga to reunite with RedOne, you can never fully recreate the magic again. There's a lot of parameters that come into play other than having the two people in the studio. Even Max Martin and the felon couldn't save 143 let's not drag poor max into this trainwreck pls, he only worked on one song and is like 7th person credited so he barely touched it Edited September 20 by salty like sodium
Hyoha 1,602
I honestly think Gaga is immune to this kind of problem. She could do a RedOne collab through an entire album and it would be amazing. RedOne isn't known to be an abuser, either.

Even Max Martin and the felon couldn't save 143 its rare, but it is possible to have that magic consecutively, you can see it with Mj and Quincy Jones's Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad. But it doesn't happen often. I do believe Gaga and RedOne have some type of magic. Gypsy eventhough produced by Madeon, was written with RedOne at first. I think the makings of amazing songs lie always with Gaga first, and RedOne somehow knows to distill the magic make the most catchy hooks with her. Anderson123 35,592
The one thing to learn from this is that Gaga was the mastermind behind her music. As much as I love RedOne he was never able to make another Poker Face, Bad Romance, Judas, Scheiße with all of the people he worked with at that time. I'm sure that if they got together again right now and something good worked out for an album it'd be because of Gaga's vision and creativity. I mean I'm glad Gaga likes switching producers to keep her ideas fresh and they also deserve credit and at least we got Gypsy and Angel Down but yeah, Katy seems more like the type of popstar that is told what to do and it's mostly Dr. Luke and her team making all the magic for her albums. Even Max Martin and the felon couldn't save 143 I don 't think it's fine to compare Lady Gaga and Katy Perry and even more RedOne and Dr. Luke. Especially when you see there like + 10 person working on all of 143 songs. Nobody could save her from an obvious uninspired un uncreative period anyway. I don’t understand what you wrote, 143 is bad, so how does that prove the genius is Dr. Luke since he produced it?

Monet 823
I think that in general, it's not a good thing when an artirst tries to emulate a past work or album. Katy was clearly trying to recreate Teenage Dream with 143, that's probably why she called Luke again. That's why i don't like seeing fans begging Gaga to "be dark Gaga again" or "do another TFM or BTW". Gaga herself said in and interview from Joanne. She can't go back (or something like this). Artists should keep trying to challenge themselves and evolve with their work, not try to recreate a work from the golden days.

(deep breath) (ughhhhhhhhhh) (geez, ****) Luke is much more talented and significant in music than RedOne. Considering Dr Luke's credits include a signifcant amount of material where he's forced himself onto the credit list through shady contracts. I don't think he's talented or significant in music, I think he's a grifter. Like so many of the hits attributed to Dr Luke in part, also happen to include Max Martin. And then if you look at the songs linked to him where he's not worked with Max, you suddenly start running out of hits. And then he jumped onto Benny Blanco. There's a real big trend when you look at who Dr Luke worked with prolifically pre-lawsuit. One where they continue to be hit makers, and Dr Luke does not.
