Nah, plans already in motion now. It's too late for that kind of delayment. Besides, two songs from same artist can always share the popularity.

If she is really going for that dark sound, what would be smart though would be to release the single last week of october and include the song in all Halloween playlists on streaming websites. I think the song could get a great start from this!

It’s not getting pushed back. I’m in a graduate cohort of 70 students and just this morning everyone was talking about how much they like DWAS and how hyped they are for Joker. She’s not pushing it back, she’s going to use the momentum

I believe it will be release in October 18, similar to Bad Romance, two weeks before Halloween. That would be two months after DWAS which seems fine to me.

She’s already announced that the lead single is coming in October, post-joker release I think next month we’re switching to full LG7 promo mode

That worry is unfounded. Gaga has different audiences, and catering to one type of audience at the same time of another type of audience doesn't hinder each of them. The people who are liking and streaming DWAS won't stop doing it because another song came out, that doesn't make sense. And also, a big chunk will probably ignore LG7 lead or won't even hear about it. Different tastes, different paths, they will cross for some people and won't cross for others.

So reassuring that we're finally pulling into the back end of September. In no time at all, we'll have the lead and the era will be properly underway. The single won't be pushed back, she's announced it now

I don’t think DWAS will hurt anything related to LG7, quite the opposite tbh. I feel like, after her turnover on becoming a streaming force things will look better for the lead and forward while she’s having the momentum going on till then.

Which is very interesting because when you think about streaming era rollouts, seems like keeping the momentum as much as you can will only benefit the numbers, having ms swift as an example.
Even though Taylor seems to be oversaturated, she can still hold her image as we can see.
With that being said, maybe Gaga isn’t even worried about getting overexposure at this moment as she doesn’t have anything else to lose or prove, so maybe this is the move her team is taking up to now as it’s seems very likely for her to take a long break after the movie/LG7 rollouts.

I can be wrong tho.

It clearly seems like thats not how things work in streaming era. Sabrina has 3 songs going against eachother. And the MOST import factor Is the record on monthly listeners, keeping these numbers with a new Release tò have new listeners Will only help her being suggested.

Besides from the snippets we've had, her music won't have a thing to do with the duet. So the target audience Is completely different. So how could It affect It. Even in radio they probably wouldn't compete

There are so many people here with very limited understanding of the streaming era… Why are we so conservative?

Tbh. If radio was still the main trend setter we might need to worry about releasing too many singles close together if an artist didnt have that demand but in streaming era its less of a danger cuz radio is less relevant.

Tho we shouldnt discredit the impact it still has completely tho

No way, delaying is unprofessional, annoys fans and ends up backfiring when someone else's song takes off anyway. It's clearly the plan for the 2 songs to do well simultaneously along with the movie. It's been the way of things for a long time that you flood the public with new material. Multiple songs per artist take off at the same time now. It's not like it was back in the day where the public could only focus on one single at a time. One of them goes #1 and the other goes #1 a few weeks later. Happens all the time. It's deliberate for her to have a lot on at once so the public is aware that she's BACK and it's a BIG deal.

If anything she will have two songs at the top. I don't care if DWAS keeps the number 1 instead of the new songs, as she is still hitting the spot.
