Went from July 8 to September 18 to November 26.

This is absolutely ridiculous. If this was me I’d be rotting in jail for life.

The rich and powerful really are above many parts of the law.

Is there a good reason or just corruption as always?

"Merchan explained in a four-page decision that he was postponing the sentencing 'to avoid any appearance — however unwarranted — that the proceeding has been affected by or seeks to affect the approaching presidential election in which the Defendant is a candidate.'"

So no, really no good reason. But I'd hesitate to call it corrupt... maybe just misguided.

Note that Judge Chutkan, in her case, has explicitly taken the opposite stance: "'The electoral process and the timing of the election … is not relevant here,' Chutkan said at a hearing to plan next steps in the case. 'This court is not concerned with the electoral schedule.'"

Bruh lets be honest. How many judges actually want this case even if they didnt want hush money?

If u rule against Trump even if hes in jail his family can come after u for revenge somehow. Few judges or jururs will ever be completely fair in trials against the rich and powerful for this reason and its part of the reasom most get away with everything.

Its not just corruption in accepting bribes. Even if they do not accept bribes, fear will discourage them from acting against them and they will find a reason or loophole in law to justify why they are not proven guilty in a court of law :rip:

Ill be honest, putting myself in their shoes, id be scared for myself and family if I was in a Trump case (or any other rich and powerful for that matter)
