I feel so bad for Israeli families waiting all this time living on hope, and now getting the news! I cant imagine how that feels, specially knowing it could have been prevented.

There's been multiple proposals made by multiple involved parties to solve this.

Netenyahu has blocked them at every possible opportunity.

Anyone who wants the war in Gaza to end. Anyone who wants the remaining hostages returned safely. Anyone who is opposed to the ongoing violence. Should all oppose Netanyahu.

The families of the hostages blame the Israeli government. They've just announced a general strike with support of multiple unions & businesses because the Israeli government is not prioritising the hostages.

It's inconceivable to some people that others wouldn't mercilessly murder other human beings for their own gain/causes because they view themselves as better than other human beings. It's disgusting to say the least.

I’m not defending Netanyahu or saying he’s doing the most to bring them home because it’s not the reality. 

But who took them in the first place and murdered them are hamas, and it seems like you guys afraid to condemn them or something. it’s truly sickening that you’re siding with terrorists.

Anyway, to stay on topic...I feel sorry for these 6 hostages. This conflict needs to end ASAP. It's radicalizing what is happening in this region and our governments should be ashamed.

If you’re not defending Netanyahu, why did you feel the need to reflexively respond to a criticism of Netanyahu with a minimization of the atrocities in Gaza and a justification of the murder of innocent civilians?

It is possible but difficult. Media steers us to care more about these hostages than other and a lot more innocent civilians that were very much illegally imprisoned all of their lives and are now dying, starving, or painfully suffering because of an equally deliberate murder campaign.

One party is humanized, the other is not. This is an important element in the equation.

But yes, this is incredibly sad and, frankly, shocking. Hamas has been noted to care very well for their hostages so this strikes me as very uncharacteristic. Then again, these might be desperate and cruel decisions of individual members. Or the IDF just made it up. They have lied countless times in ways that have been objectively verified, so. Not taking their word for it.

In any case, it is interesting that the families who are grieving are also directly blaming Netanyahu for sabotaging hostage and ceasefire deals. Of course it is only at the very bottom of the page but it strikes me as very relevant.

I swear you lot are braindead. you don't have to wonder cause that's literally what the Israeli government and a big portion of Israelis have been doing to Palestinians since 1947. kidnapping them, raping them, killing them, kicking them out of their homes, degrading them and treating them like dogs on a daily basis.
