Axl Jax 634
This may be a dumb question but after this news can they produce lots more batches? I've been wanting to try it for weight loss but felt guilty about the whole diabetic shortage thing. Although I'm thinking of wegovy which I believe is the same thing

Although I'm thinking of wegovy which I believe is the same thing No, they're all in shortage due to people misusing them, and headlines like these lying about the effects of it. The companies who make those drugs know what they're capable of, if anything this will lead to even greater shortages. They're only indicated for certain patients either way I like dancin', and ponies....

They're only indicated for certain patients either way Here in the UK we have a weight loss one called Wegovy and its exactly the same drug I believe. I don't know why people don't just use that one, it's basically the same situation as Advil vs Nurofen, the same thing but different brand name. I suppose its the appeal of the popularity of the name Ozempic, like its trendy. I don't think a lot of people realise you usually end up looking like a 60 year old heroin addict after abusing it for so long. And I say abusing it because weirdly the diabetics I've known on it never get that look but the celebrities ala Sharon and Kelly Osbourne do, just to name a couple... Sorry I don't get what this means, could you elaborate a little Cuz it reads like for 5 days you don't fast, and for the other 25 days... you also don't fast? It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!

Sounds like the 5:2 diet which is where you eat 500 calories for two days a week then whatever you want for the other 5 days. Which u e never understood because most people who don't have a general understanding of calories could be eating 3000-4000+ calories on their other days, and you need a 3500 calorie deficit to lose a pound of fat... Sepsami 20,899
Well.. Obesity paired with glucose resistance/diabetes are already proven to impact the rate at which we age, and also increase the risk of a getting a slew of other physical and even mental illnesses. Ozempic just combats obesity and diabetes, so obviously getting healthier through ozempic is going to decrease the risk of cancer and slow the rate at which you age. Ozempic fixing your unhealthy eating habits is going to make you age slower and decrease your risk of cancer. You could also just.. make an effort to live more healthily! I'm not here to shame anyone that is on ozempic but if they start advertising it as some sort of 'anti-aging' drug then yeah it deserves to be called out. The summary provided certainly seems to imply that. Obesity contributes to bad health, which can lead to all sorts of problems. The more weight you lose, the less likely you are to develop said problems. Next in the news we'll hear that nicotine pills slow aging and prevent cancer...
Charmz 4,348
I take ozempic for my type two diabetes and it has greatly improved my health. Like… a lot. Weight loss, yes, but generally everything. my a1c has been in the “normal person (non diabetic)” range for 1 year now. Alot of people taking Ozempic starve themselves and barely eat anything for months / years! This will result in having the "Ozempic Face" and it will age you. So its not Ozempic thats making people age, its starvation and losing weight fast that does that. Ozempic is not supposed to stop you from eating, its supposed to make it easy for you to not eat above your caloric deficit. This is why my Doctor tells me I have to eat within my caloric deficit, and I have to eat ALOT of protein. On top of that I do weight lifting and cardio 5 times a week. I lost 200 pounds on Ozempic and my face looks really good and healthy.

Day 1: Consume 1,100* calories, with 11% from protein (121 calories from protein), 46% from fat (506 calories from fat), and 43% from carbohydrates (473 calories from carbohydrates). Days 2 to 5: Consume only 725 calories per day, with a breakdown of 9% protein (65 calories from protein), 44% fat (319 calories from fat), and 47% carbohydrates (341 calories from carbohydrates). It's important that you get the required nutrients even while fasting. The rest of the month you eat normally following the required caloric intake. It's still a new type of diet that's actively being worked on * Depends on your body composition age etc, just a rough estimate for the average person I like dancin', and ponies.... Its been a long journey, I cant believe im almost reaching my goal. I tried losing weight for many years, but no matter how hard I tried, I failed every single time because I had multiple eating disorders, it was almost impossible to lose weight. Even when I paid for a personal trainer, went to the gym, and ate good. Once I took Ozempic, my eating disorders went away! I dont feel bad for taking Ozempic even if its meant for diabetic people, because I was pre diabetic and Pre hypertention, and I had many other issues like sleep apnea. Obesity should be treated as a disease, and Ozempic should be used to prevent chronic illnesses that comes with obesity. But a celebrity taking Ozempic to lose 5-10 pounds is a different thing than an Obese person suffering to lose weight and getting chronic illnesses the more they stay obese.
