Just how much footage did they cut out chi I don't mind Gaga being campaigned for supporting though especially if her chances are higher in that category She’s currently #26 on goldderby (not that it means anything)

This is whats concerning to me. The director and cast of HOG rubbed us of an amazing film and I'd hate for this to be another HOG situation. Gaga acts her ass off and then the movie is paced or edited in the most boring way possible. Edited September 5 by RenegAde
SevenWonder 3,711
For anyone who cares or possibly thinks these mixed reviews might hurt Gaga's career? I work in Hollywood. Please remember that movies are NOT like music. So many great movies get mixed reviews. So many great performance happen in otherwise mid movies. (HOG for one!). So this is truly no big deal. But let's say this film "flops" (it won't). Gaga will not take any blame. Todd Phillips will for sure. Phoenix to a much lesser extent. But not Gaga. This isn't a "Lady Gaga" movie. It's a huge sequel that Gaga is in. It's also very much a "director's" vehicle instead of an "actor's" vehicle. It's really a win/win for her: She will get credit if it does well. She won't if it doesn't - especially because not one "bad" review targets her as the problem. This will no doubt be another notch in Gaga's acting belt. Even if the film continues to get mixed reviews. Her acting career, as of right now, is untouchable. Everyone wants to work with her. I know this first hand. And whether Joker 2 makes 2 billion or 200 million or 20 million? It won't change that. She has another three projects (or so) before she will start to get blamed if her movies tank. And, again, I HIGHLY doubt Joker 2 tanks. At all. Just some food for thought. Go stream DWAS! 9 1 9

Reception to ga's acting has been my #1 concern for this project and as a lot of us expected, she delivered. I'd just hate to relive the HOG trauma where her chances are hindered come awards season cause certain aspects of the film that are out of her control fell short In I fly on wings of winter.

Awrah999 4,012
Gaga slayed we always knew she would. Mixed reviews for the movie are to be expected and won’t hurt the public’s perception of Gaga. She’s such a queen

It’s Warner Brothers so they will probably release a director’s cut of sorts when it hits digital 4

While it’s easy to freak out now, let’s just sit back and wait until it’s out to see the public’s opinions. I’m hyped either way I watched the movie in the theater with my Mother so I was really kind of put off and disturbed by it especially by that particular suffocation scene and thought it was horrible. And then I gave it a shot at rewatching on Max in 4K Dolby and I was blown away at how much I actually liked it all by myself. It’s honestly very artistic and a sad satire. I think the new one will also be good. people are just weird nowadays when it comes to reviews. some people praise and shamelessly overrate the s* out of the most generic dumbest creations out there. I am not gonna go off topic and drop names but yeah. I don’t trust reviews at all. my opinion is really the only one I need. and I’m excited.
