They are often some of the best performances, and no less challenging to deliver. 🫶🏼 Anthony Hopkins has 15 minutes of screen time in Silence of the Lambs and it’s one of the most remembered film performances of all time. Marisa Tomei stole My Cousin Vinny. Heath Ledger was only in 33 minutes of Dark Knight’s 2hr 32min runtime! poeticprose 238
Let Gaga do supporting roles, my god. She's a working actress. It does not have to be all about her.
jacs vs looser 3,499
I know it doesn't matter that much but I do hope the score goes up and at least matches the first one. I'm not here for the "it's worse than the first one" narrative 6

Jase 13,043
"The darkness at the core of the film is underlined by its very brutal ending, which rejects comic book conventions in favour of psychological depth." God this has me so hyped. 2 2

Well Joker 1 debuted with 85 on RT then plummeted so I don't see how FAD's low debut could save any tears, if anything brace yourselves for worse chaeri pls

Robert 244
Please take this with a grain of salt. I was reading this italian review and it says that in the movie apparently there’s a new Gaga song entitled “Folie à Deux“. here’s the review: https://www.gamesurf.it/recensioni/film/joker-folie-a-deux-recensione/amp “C’è un inedito di Gaga intitolato Folie à Deux che però si perde nel vasto utilizzo di brani dal sound retrò/datato, che si confondono e sovrappongono l’uno con l’alto.” “There is an unreleased track by Gaga entitled Folie à Deux which however gets lost in the vast use of songs with a retro/dated sound, which get confused and overlap with each other.“

LateToCult 39,636
Am a little worried that this time around the reviews are criticizing the film for being boring and not so much for the subject matter. Oh well, if it bombs at the box office too we still have DWAS and LG7. 2
Scarlet Witch 1,066
1 hour ago, mamo said: Gaga needs to be more selective with her choice of directors imo. Denis Villeneuve, Guillermo Del Toro, Pablo Larrain, Pedro Almodovar, Luca Guadagnino, Jane Campion, Greta Gerwig, Baz Luhrman, The Daniels etc. Preferably directors and scripts that are focused on telling stories from a woman's perspective. All three films she's starred in have ended up focussing on her male counterparts. It's become a pattern. I think her next few films need to focus solely on her character and she has the lead billing alone. Imo that's the only way she'll win Best actress. Also If she's going to hypothetically do another musical, I need her to go full showgirl. There's nothing wrong with playing to her strengths, as long as it serves the film as a whole. But I do agree that she just needs to have a bit of fun and do something less serious. I need her to do ONE single drama movie with Chloe Zhao showcasing all the subtlety of her acting range. It'll be a huge moment.
Morphine Prince 102,022
I loved the first movie and will probably love this one too. Don’t let critics take enjoyment out of something YOU ENJOY. 7 1
Bronco 5,729
I'll withhold actual judgement until I see it, but the initial reviews + HoG is making me think Gaga needs to be a bit more discerning in the roles she going for if she does want that Oscar one day.
