If your goal was to live but you went in anyway, then you are stupid.

Exactly. Someone who can’t see Trump for the cruel selfish moron he is but still votes for him to be president because they think he’ll solve the country’s problems is stupid. Your metaphor translates perfectly to what you’re obtusely arguing against.

Now granted, there are also some very smart people who vote for him because, they’re morally bankrupt. But the uneducated and ignorant are the larger vote share in this equation.

So everyone thats not you is stupid? values and beliefs are very subjective. I would love to push for my own values, but I dont think people with different values are stupid or objectively wrong.

I’m going to generalize the Trump supporter who voted on their values and beliefs. I am basing these values on a t shirt I saw someone wearing a few years ago that said “Faith, Family, Flag, Freedom, Firearms.”

Faith: Plenty of God followers spoke at the DNC. Biden goes to church. Democrats want to help out the poor, the sick, and the needy kinda like a certain man people worship. DJT couldn’t name a Bible verse a few years ago and now is selling a Bible with his name on it. He’s also an adulterer. Many republicans use blame their homophobia on their faith, particularly one line in Leviticus. Oddly enough, Leviticus also says eating shellfish is prohibited and I’ve never seen a God-honoring republican protesting outside of a Red Lobster.

Family: Democrat who spoke at the DNC came from traditional families, blended families, people raised by their grandparents, etc. They know families are struggling so plenty of folks mentioned jobs and unions, healthcare, education, keeping schools safe.

Freedom: Republicans like to complain that democrats want to control people’s freedoms, however, I think it’s the opposite. If you’re trans and want to get medical procedures, it should be your right to do whatever you want. You want to be a childless adult with cats, I say live your best life bestie. Freedom of choice and control over your own body is a no no for the Republican. Their freedom of speech involves saying ignorant and hateful things, which I can understand, but it shows how hateful a person is if the way they choose to express their freedom of speech is by calling someone a racist or degrading slur

Flag: This one is a little unclear for me and is kinda subjective. I would argue that being able to express yourself and support others’ freedom is pretty patriotic. I respect our veterans and am on board with supporting causes and resources for active duty and veterans.

Firearms: We all know the Republicans love their firearms. Tim Walz mentioned he supports the 2nd Amendment and shared that he hunts. I am all for protecting yourself but some people have this odd obsession with firearms. There’s absolutely a problem with mentally unstable individuals being able to easily get a gun. Anytime a mass casualty happens, all we get are empty sympathetic statements from Republicans and never a call to action. They even played a clip of Trump proudly saying he opposed gun reform right after the Uvalde, Texas shooting.

Were there any other examples of republican values that you can think of?

That is true, if someone cant see through the truth of Trump, then they are stupid. But I think most people know the truth and still choose him, they arent stupid.

Im not asking anyone to answer anything. I gave my opinion on what I think stupidity means, and everyone decided to challenge me on that. So obviously I will challenge them back, and now your mad that im challenging back. Then people decided to say im attacking Kamala when im supporting Kamala.

Weak, semantic backtracking. Also: who’s mad? All I said was you’re challenging people to answer a complex moral question and then responding condescendingly when they aren’t able to drum up an objective metaphysical moral framework for you.

enforce your own rules then. no flamebaiting. i know you're tryna be pure and innocent and give him the benefit of the doubt but girl it's literally so plain to see. it's not "just an argument" or "a different opinion" it's cynical, calculated flamebaiting. we're capable of handling differences of opinion on this website. we're intolerant of obtuse arguments made in bad faith

1) Someone said Trump supporters are stupid

2) I responded saying they just have different morals

3) Multiple people challenged my morality argument

4) I responded to their challenge with an argument

5) You tell me im asking big questions

6) Then people started mocking me

7) I mock them back

8) You then tell me im being condescending to people mocking me

I would really love to know how did a philosophical question ruined the vibes?

I agree the vibe is ruined, but its because people got triggered by a philosophical question that had nothing to do with Kamala.

Ive been trying my best to not give my opinion like I used to to avoid conflicts, even here in a political thread I havent heavily criticized anyone, and showed support to Kamala. But I say something not controversial about philosophy, and everyone freaks out and turn it into drama.

What you wrote makes Republicans hypocrites, it doesnt make them stupid. But also, Republicans have a different view on what freedom means based on their bubble. For example, you say Democrats help the poor, but Republicans have different view on how the poor should be helped.

When your values and beliefs actually kill and harm people, yes they’re stupid. Stop arguing with people just to stir the pot.
