It will get a boost from album annoucent and when it premiers. Stupid Love did Around 2,4mln streams on the album release day. Heavily relying on and marketing physical sales SHOULD be focused on things like lead singles and albums for an artist who releases such a wide variety of projects and whose fanbase is loyal, but skewing older. Like using LFS or BTW (10) as a gauge to LG7 sales is absurd. A lot of people will say SL only sold 13k physical its first week no matter how many times they’re told shipments were split between week 1 and album release. But yes, physicals would’ve absolutely given it a stronger debut across every market. I know PI/MR didn’t get physical releases, but it seems weird to not have gotten them unless they’re 100% focused on the album this time around. There’s also still a chance/time to announce/release them in the next week or 2 with album info to ship them with boosted streams and stable radio.
