Not sure why everyone expects Rihanna to be up there.

There’s not an ounce of artistry in her. She was really just a manufactured product in the early 2000s without a single writing credit to her name. Her team/label just bought songs from actual talented songwriters for her to sing over.

She’s a businesswoman if anything really, and a really good one too. i give her props for that.

Britney Spears being number 6 while Gaga, Beyonce and Taylor will be above her is a joke. I love all of them, but they were ALL inspired by her. Today's popgirls all name Britney as their inspiration and she is number 6?

That leaves me to think that this list is only based on chart performances and not sales and cultural impact.

if that's true and it's only chart performance does gaga have the top 5 spot? I obviously know she sold insanely well, especially btw and TF (That still charts) but the competition is tough.
