Hope Gaga can get a top 5 hopefully I honestly can see her up there especially if they're basing it off her charting success. She's had 4 of her main albums debut #1 and a handful of singles that charted Top 10 on the Hot 100 including Judas (oh yes it may have dropped off the week after because of religious backlash but it counted LOL). Not to mention what is it 13 Grammy's and an Oscar. She is easily Top 5 material but it's gonna be a close one between her, Beyonce, Taylor, possibly Michael Jackson as well as Whitney Houston because I can't imagine they wouldn't be celebrated posthumously, and of course Madonna.

This is 21st century only so out of the 3 major legends you mentioned I believe only Madonna fits in as her work was continuosly impactful up to Confessions on a Dance Floor (and all her tours ever since). MJ and Whitney didn't have new work impacting much of this century really. Out of remaining spots I believe Britney and Rihanna are obvious given but now I'm having a hard time predicting who would fit in next to them. juicyjuicy 1,624
Hmmm, I’m going to guess these people will round out the Top 5 (in no particular order): Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Beyonce, Taylor Swift. And I guess Rihanna and Gaga will be in the Top 10. Gaga and Rihanna should be the top 2 imo.

I'm trying to figure out how Michael Jackson and Madonna could be even close to the top 5 on a 2000 - 2024 list. Madonna could be there if they are including concert sales in their formula, but it looks like it's based mainly on chart performance and awards. Madge had several #1 albums but her sales aren't collectively that strong, only one #1 single since 2000, and she hasn't won many awards. And, Michael ... When you say 4 of her main albums, do you mean 4 out of 5 or 4 out of 6 i.e. Fame/Fame Monster?

Born This Way, ARTPOP, Joanne and Chromatica. I know a lot of outlets don't consider The Fame Monster as a standalone album. The Fame I think only peaked at 12 on the Hot 200 and TFM only peaked at #2. Still pretty impressive in the end because The Fame is still charting to this day. Still unsure of Whitney and Michael cause of the 2000-2024 metric. Also I think Drake should be shoo in for how massive his Billboard success is (sadly). He also won Artist of the Decade with them for the 2010a. And they included Kendrick in the honorable mentions so they are open to hip hop acts. nodandsmile 9,741
they never put Gaga at the top of these lists! She's earn these publications' respect in recent years but they don't really suck up to her like they do some of her peers!
