RAMROD 101,656 Posted August 10 Share Posted August 10 After Taylor Swift canceled her three Vienna Eras Tour concerts this week, due to an alleged terror plot, many fans in the Austrian city still decided to gather to support each other and explore Vienna. The Vienna Tourist Board on Instagram has been sharing all the ways fans can enjoy the city, including a number of free activities or discounted entries specifically designed for Swifties in light of the canceled shows. One such invitation for fans was for them to show up to show up to the Kristallwelten Swarovski store for a "crystal surprise." As some fans showed on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), the unique gift — which fans were able to claim after showing their ticket to one of the canceled shows — was a necklace from the brand with a variety of different crystal charms, tucked into a bag. The Vienna Tourist Board noted on Aug. 9 that "due to overwhelming demand," the store did run out of the necklaces but still wanted fans to come in for a special discount. Other artists have also cancelled due to political unrest and tragedies in the area. No concession is granted for the upset fans (Taylor herself had to cancel her Thai show for the Red tour because of a military coup in the country and nothing of this magnitude ever happened in response but now she's the most famous woman in the world, her fans are valued more, apparently). The entire city wants to roll out the red carpet to appease Taylor's fans? If they can afford her tickets, possibly to multiple shows plus travel and accommodation, they don't need free stuff. The Swarovski bit is wild. Giving necklaces out to fans who are favouring friendship bracelets is even more wild.
