Yeah, there's nothing particularly Y2K about the album or her music in general, but the title kinda works because her date of birth is literally January 1, 2000

I've honestly become an Ice Spice stan. She's genuinely individual and quite strange. The album's great. Totally singular. I don't think it's hit at radio because it's actually weird. Not chic faux weird. Like weird weird. And that's artistically impressive. But culture reads black women being weird as failure and white women being weird as edgy.
