Bets placed for Harris becoming the next US president first overtook Trump bets Wednesday afternoon on the platform PredictIt. The current price of a Harris bet via the platform is 54 cents, while a bet for Trump costs 50 cents, as of Thursday morning. ceminay 1,122 Posted August 2, 2024 Share Posted August 2, 2024 I don't trust the polls. The same polls said Hillary would win and we saw what happened. I'm more wary since this election is beginning in full force without candidates discussing policies, which would happen during or before the Democratic convention. The fact that Biden is not an option made me very happy, and I'm glad everyone is coming together for Kamala, but the process was not democratic and was top-down, which I hope doesn't backfire. Now the race is already turning nastier each day, and the nastier Trump gets, the harsher the Democrats will respond. I know more about JD Vance than I know about Kamala's policy stances, or the idea she wants to sell to the people. Her website has no information about any of her policy ideas. The energy is on her side now, but that buzz can go away if they don't give it more substance. They need to fix that asap before the average voter, or apolitical young voters get bored of this drama and tune out.
