She was the OG artist that completely reinvented the genre. This doesn't mean that anyone that came after her is less than her. Pop music is not a competition to me and a multitude of artists can operate at the same level. I'm not a Madonna fan anymore, but I would never call Gaga the queen of pop, cause Madonna to me perfectly personifies that title.
