The unfortunate thing here is that this could be totally made up, and yet it sort of doesn’t matter. Everyone has so little faith in Elon/Twitter that it’s completely believable at this point. He has ruined any perception that he’s neutral or unbiased, and his daily capitulations to the worse people on his platform mean that everyone assumes he’s tipping the scales for the far right. A disgusting fall from grace for him and Twitter.

I think this is a good way to view it. Even if it is fake, no one should be blamed for believing it because of how terrible Elon Musk is. The entire unofficial Twitter subreddit hates him.

I'm still not denying that this may be true though.
