If she does the closing ceremony, I wouldn't be surprised.

The closing ceremony is more open to the world than the opening ceremony, which is focused on the host country. So it's not impossible to have non-French artists.

I'm French and PurePeople is a pretty reliable site, so we'll see.

Well, they typically announce these things a month in advance (Tokyo excluded due to Covid) and the closing ceremony is exactly one month from today.

So the Olympics better hurry on announcing

she's basically rumored for every big event, every year but it's always false.

France wouldn't bring an American singer to take the spotlight off of their own local singers, it's a stage to give them time to shine, they can however bring a french international singer like David Guetta, Daft Punk, Christine and the Queens, the Olympics is like the Eurovision or the World Cup, the hosting country has the privilege to show off their culture, tourism and history.
