I was about to type something sarcastic about literally never being on this site to think that, but maybe you arnt or havent been - Gaga recieves the harshest of criticism (Meant from some strange, deep place of love I hope) on here than anyone else. I have never seen a potentially questionable decision by her go unchekced here. I get you are playing devils advocate, but on here that really isnt the case

Okay. I get the hate Taylor is getting. But I am going to her concert today, because I kinda wanna know what a show of hers is like. And while preparing for this concert I agree her latest albums are not it for me musicslly, I now get why she gets praised for her lyrics. Do I think she compares to Whitney, no. But she is doing something very well, and it is not just marketing

No one is "made" to buy anything.  And I said it's like comparing apples to oranges.  But people had to make the conscious decision to spend money on the album. So the opposite of what you're saying is true.  Technically, no, they were not made to buy it.  They chose to spend their money on a Taylor album multiple times.  I am agreeing it's a very different kind of accomplishment than Whitneys, but it says a lot about Taylor's start power and the accomplishment shouldn't be completely dismissed either.

come on man, using FOMO creates that sense of urgency that they need to buy it... that's the whole point of using it  yes, they were made to buy it cus they were told it was either buy it then and there or never again
