(Imo) She's just not taken very seriously. She laughs and jokes a lot which people use to accuse her of drug abuse. She was in law enforcement and people throw that in her face too. And she's a black woman, so she's not an option for many people to consider worthy of high office unfortunately.

She's the one black woman I could see having enough support and resources to win in 2024, but she vocally hates politics and isn't afraid to say so. As much as I'd love to see it, she isn't coming to save us.

I do wish we could get a Trump vs Harris debate though. It'd be iconic. A twice impeached convicted felon vs a moderate/progressive with a history in law enforcement?

There literally is no other choice, idk why anyone is even entertaining the idea that the Dems, who've already overwhelmingly decided to throw their support behind their candidate, the incumbent president, would simultaneously decide "you know, he's done pretty well so far, the biggest hiccups of his administration were caused by stacked courts, GOP blocking, and remnants from the Trump administration but I think he spoke too quietly during one debate so let's abandon the guy that beat Trump once already in favor for, idk, Sanders (the old white guy who lost to Biden) or Newsom (the old white guy that's universally disliked) or really any other old white guy that can stop the old orange guy".

I feel like there is some real cognitive dissonance with the people who think Biden should just drop out.

We all agree that Dems aren't doing enough with messaging. They're not managing Biden's re-election campaign well and they've lacked a clear, core message throughout his presidency besides "Well, at least we're not Trump!". So why the hell do these same people think the Dems could come together, pick a new nominee (one that is well-liked enough, has national notoriety, and has political views that could sway moderates and independents), and be able to campaign for them for the next couple of months? Dems are struggling enough as it is. Why do we want to give them an even bigger challenge that we know they're not equipped to handle?

Frankly, in my opinion, Biden shouldn't even be the president since there were far better candidates in 2016 and 2020, but this is the reality we live in. I don't see them replacing Biden, and if they did, I don't see it working out well at all.
