I'm old enough I played TS1 as a kid. Actually found all my original disks and expansions just the other day! Relics. So TS1 and TS2 defined my childhood, but TS3 was my dorky teenage years   a couple of my friends also played and we would get together with our laptops and play side by side  we were not the popular kids

But TS4 is trash. Right from the day it came out and was missing everything from toddlers to pools to landscaping tools to open world and burlgars and a hundred other things. Every single pack has been released broken, and some they never chose to fix. Things that were expansions in previous games were split into multiple for TS4. It's literally just a lifeless cashgrab and I can't stand when something bad happens right in front of a sim and they just stand there with that lobotomy smile looking around the room 

Build mode is a slay though (even though I definitely have my gripes with that too)

Same these days  TS4 gets so boring so fast. But I wasn't gonna spend thousands of dollars for a home building simulator so I had to put on my eyepatch and peg leg and find another way (which was.. surprisingly easy)

The original games were more M rated. They took risks and explored adult themes and were actually targeted towards adults. It's when they found out kids were the majority of their audience that they pivoted to be more family friendly (aka boring)

Me after murdering everyone in a nightclub as a vampire via emotions and I couldn't leave because too many death scenes were playing out. My sim was too busy crying. Actual infinite loop.

Not the too many deaths causing you to be stuck     Or when your sim cheats on their partner right in front of them, and then two seconds later the partner is laughing with the mistress like nothing happened. I guess it's not nice to hold a grudge

There's a mod that helps with the emotions, but not even mods can save this game for me. You'd have to download to many.

EA definitely said who cares about quality, the games still sell. And their developers clearly just gave up and were probably underpaid and on tight time restrictions. The passion for creating something fun and interesting is just gone. I've become a Sims 4 hater   I just use it as a building simulator. I'm currently building my dream house for when I come into my millions so I can show it to the architect I've already chosen

I congratulate you humans that can play the game long-term because having 1000 generations and building isn't my main interest.

I'm pretty good at making sims in CAS so send me all your pics and I'll make you all and then we can have a GGD Hunger Games   I'll probably die first

Oh god me too. I'd love to actually get into proper, hours long gameplay, but sometimes it's a bit tedious. It must be more fun for those people who stream and actually have an audience to banter with. I guess I could always talk out loud to myself like I'm streaming while I sit alone in y living room at night with the fairy lights on
