Your only free will choice is to either convert to another religion or to become an atheist. The problem with the mindset of covering the body in religion is that it's not a choice in the first place, it's a rule, there's a certain logic and thought behind it, made by men for women, not for their freedom, but to limit it as much as they can, to control them, to dehumanize them. You can't tell me that a young girl in school is "choosing" to cover her body, she was influenced since her birth do it, for her god, for "respecting her body", but it's really just to control her freedom. And honestly, we're not talking now about going in bikini, we're talking about going out with a t-shirt and bare arms and bare hair, like the most basic thing. We're talking about women getting arrested and even murderer because the didn't cover their hair well enough. I mean this is for all men, wear a hijab and cover all your body in the summer and then tell me if it's a choice. Yes we are all born into certain situations that forms who we are, but once we become an adult, you either choose to stay in the bubble you were born into because it fits you and its easy, or you choose to leave and try something different. This applies to literally every single person, its just part of life, we are all born into certain situation that shapes and forms us, but once we become adults, our introspection kicks in and we start making choices. I also want to make it clear that im not talking about underage people

I also want to make it clear that im not talking about underage people The consequences of leaving a religion or defying the rules of the religion are too devastating for a single person, a muslim woman in this case, who is already in a weak position. It can leas to violence, murder or being estrange by the whole family. And it’s not only in Islam, even in Judaism. We see in Iran how the decision of many women to take off the hijab is risking their lives. And I think it’s important to point out underage people because they are the first victims of religion. Even in countries that have laws and family that restrict your freedom, you still have the choice to not be brainwashed, even if you are not capable of openly living it. Iirc, the idea was that "without religion, Christopher Columbus wouldn't have landed in America, he would have landed on the moon". Regressive traditions, anti-science/reality thinking, cult mentalities, outlandish superstitions, and an easy excuse to hate all hold us back as a species. Nothing you or I are saying is objective, its insane that you think you have the capability to know how the world would be without religion. You understand that religion was created by humans, so if religion did not exist, humans will create something different to justify their actions. Humans created religion and used it to justify slavery, if religion did not exist, do you think the need to slave other humans will go away? No, its still there, its still part of human nature, and we will find a way to create justification for it. The bad things about religion are a reflection of who we are as a collective, its not something thats outside of us controlling us. None religious people are not smart enough to reach the moon, most of them are as dumb as religious people, and they fall into the same cycle religious people fall into.
