I was really looking forward to the era but:

1. The announcement 'THE ALBUM, THE SONG, THE VIDEO' reminds me of Gaga doing it for BTW in 2011

2. This whole empowerment theme was literally the main criticism for Smile. The lyrics were cliched af (I am so resilient, born to be brilliant ) and it seems like it's happening again?

3. The production is just way too similar to Stupid Love and Do What U Want.

4. The futuristic humanoid aesthetic resembles Chromatica, the title Woman's World reminds me of Doja's Planet Her (which actually came before Chromatica), except with Gaga and Doja there's some metaphorical concept. Katy's feels a bit late to the trend?

 

I really wanted this era to be a Katy Perry reinvention but I'm not sure if I'm going to get it.

I read years and years of comments complaining about her campiness and not taking herself seriously. Well this cover and outfit are NOT in that realm and now its a problem too. The snippet isn't even a chorus, yet its enough to say it sounds exactly like Stupid Love? Go touch grass.
