Exactly how I felt with HMHAS. Definitely good, but the acclaim is a little confusing me a little. Very happy to see both of them getting long overdue flowers from the public though! I have to be missing something (besides the remaining 12 songs lmaoo) I agree. Rave reviews or not, Charli’s style and vocals do not work for me. Diff’rent strokes.

Sneaky Oliver 21,148
I think part of the acclaim comes from the fact the record feels very fresh and spontaneous, not very forced, overly planned and kinda inorganic like some other major releases we got this year (Cowboy Carter, TTPD) In the land of gods and monsters, I was an angel living in the Garden Of Eden
NewYorkGirl 1,294
Not sure about album of the year, but far more exciting than anything else that’s come out this year. Thats for sure. My. Lawyer. Liked. That.

Its crazy because now she's basically my favourite artist, and most of what I remember hating I actually love now. For me I just had to expand what I understood pop/dance music to be and in my opinion she's one of the few along with others in that underground adjacent kinda scene who have done more to actually push the needle of what pop can sound like and regularly make a genre filled with stale formulas sound fresh and exciting again, and that's coming from someone who loves basic pop songs lmaoo. OT - I'm actually obsessed, I love this album so much In "nobody asked" news... I spent a good portion of this weekend exploring her discography and giving her more of a chance than I have in the past. I pretty much exclusively listened to her this weekend. Here is where the albums rank for me. This is ranked by "tracks I like divided by total number of tracks on the album". I saved her entire discography to my library. If I didn't like a track, I removed it. If I could see myself growing to like a track with more listens, I kept it. True Romance - 100% ; actually amazing. CRASH - 91% ; actually amazing. Sucker - 68% ; mostly great BRAT - 55% ; mostly great - Increase (+2 spots) with 3 new tracks; I like them all! Charli - 53% ; mostly great how i'm feeling now - 36% Number 1 Angel - 20% Pop 2 - 10% ; I hated this record. True Romance isn't a true 100%, but I can see the songs I don't really like growing on me, so I didn't remove them. I gave Pop 2 and Number 1 Angel two chances after their initial listens before I removed the tracks I didn't like. The songs I like on BRAT, in order, are: So I I might say something stupid Everything is romantic I think about it all the time Girl, so confusing Symptathy is a knife 360 I did not rank any other album by tracklist of what tracks I like more than others. The songs I liked from all of her records: Edited June 10 by Agunimon 1

Vicixs 3,250
Easily album of the year. Her most cohesive, her most fun, her most unhinged. It’s just consistently insane from beginning to end. We love to see it Religion is a product to sell.

monstertoronto 8,738
I’m so happy for her. I’ve always thought she was underrated and glad she’s finally getting all this mainstream acclaim. I love brat so deserving. Her Crash tour was unexpectedly one of my fave shows of the year so hope she brings it with this one too
