But it means nothing to me to negotiate a ceasefire while you are funding Israel with weapons and money and giving them the greenlight to do whatever they want. Israel is able to do all this because they have Americas back. No country in the world is allowed to do what Israel is doing without backfire, but Israel can do it because America protects them and allows it. Biden is responsible for whats happening but he wants to get credit for "negotiating" a ceasefire that wont even help. Biden has to make himself look good politically by saying hes part of negotiation, but his actions is different. Yeah, I get what you’re saying and I ultimately agree that the US has historically and continues to enable Israel in their abuse of Palestine. Given that the US has a permanent 5 spot on the UN Security Council, I think they should put forth a resolution to allow Palestine to join the UN and I agree that Biden (and his allies in Congress) need to stop enabling the IDF by sending arms. IMO, atp, Israel should be treated like Russia (sanctions, isolated from the international community), but there are far too many pols interested in propagating the US’ corrupt relationship with Israel. Long way of saying: I think the main part of the reason why, although Biden may be attempting to negotiate, he’s ultimately feckless is because he’s towing the line between upholding the US’ longstanding and problematic relationship with Israel while simultaneously trying to reduce the political fallout of doing that at a time when it’s probably the most unpopular it’s ever been to be a Zionist in politics. I’m holding out hope that maybe he’s able to do something meaningful to reduce harm moving forward, but I do agree that his actions on this have been largely disappointing. In a good way, not in a Trump-winning way. 3) Once more, I (JessFletch) have not given Biden any credit, beyond acknowledging his superiority to Trump in terms of fitness for office. 4) It is not your job to dissuade people over things you claim not to see differences within. edit- not looking to fight, babe 💚 Giving peace a chance. Yeah and thats why I dont have a problem with Biden personally, I just think thats just how the system is, no matter who the president is. It would take a really unique president thats willing to risk his own life, career, legacy, and reputation to end this system. Im fine with people voting Biden, aslong as they know what they are voting for, I dont want them to vote for him by thinking hes good at negotiating or that hes helping Palestinians. The fact of the matter is, the US has maybe elected one President who might not have done what Biden is doing re: Israel and that’s Jimmy Carter. Basically any other US president would’ve also allowed this to happen, unfortunately. We have forgotten our public MANNERS

I just don't see it that way at all. I think every American should be clear-eyed (and furious) about the fact they are being asked to choose between two dangerous, corrupt men, with no other options. Calling out hypocrisy in our politicians is the very very least we can do, if we ever hope for change. At the end of the day yes I do hope Trump loses, very much so. But you'll also never convince me that a Biden win is a victory

faysalaaa 5,336
I want to make it clear that I do think Biden is the better of two evils when it comes to America domestically and culturally, but when it comes to this conflict in the Middle East, I think the system is more powerful than both Biden and Trump. Fair. I guess that's why I said "those who have the power to vote this year" (as in U.S. ladies) We can actively make change here. Change that will hopefully have positive ripple effects. And yes, part of that will be holding Biden accountable. But if Biden loses, that point will be moot. A lot will be moot 🥀

But we can agree to disagree Great! Love that attitude. I'll look to YOU first if/when Biden loses because people chose to hold him accountable RIGHT NOW, rather than focusing on the wannabe-dictator waiting in the wings. Disagree to agree, it seems ✌️ Be well. I hope.
MOT 3,608
Trump attempted a coup d'etat in 2021. If power is gained by seizing it rather than winning it in an election, then policy, on Gaza or any other issue, becomes irrelevant. If you have a vote, please vote for Biden in November. JoeCool 1,009
I don't like Biden but one thing I don't understand is people that hate him who think Trump is going to be more Pro Palestine. As indicated if anything Trump will heighten support for Israel.
