It's a typically fun pop album. Very few of her songs are deep, apart from maybe the songs about her husband but her aim is to make you happy and want to dance. The singles were some of her best yet, so I hoped more of it would be on the same level and while most of it was just ok, it does the job as a piece of escapism. My ultimate favourites were Been Like This, To The Moon, Crowded Room, Crushin' and Timeless. I think she does best when she does keep to that (aptly) timeless sound and keeps it classic doo-wop. She may do a lot of the same thing over and over but it is her own thing and she doesn't care about following current trends.

you guys are so phenomenally irritating because doo-wop songs were ALWAYS this length. be my baby is 2:40. like learn a tiny bit of music history i'm begging not everything revolves around 2010s pop standards

Be mad then, I guess? You don't know my education and you look silly assuming what I need to learn. I said what I said because the trend of songs becoming shorter to better fit into the algorithm. Not just doo-wop songs. Whether these songs are doo-wop or not, it's feeding into the trend. Sorry you're irritated though
