Alxjcgn 1,734
Inspired by a comment on another thread, I thought more about what a potential setlist would be for a Vegas residency if she did one now, after Chromatica and MAYHEM. I currently have an idea of some songs and the order... I mainly think the show would HAVE to open with Bad Romance to get everyone hyped up, and ended with Just Dance as the encore song (people would go feral hearing the song start after cheering for her to come back on... and she would maybe have on one of her signature looks). What do you guys think a good setlist would be?
Lucas 29,529
My main issue with the Enigma residency is that she played too many songs from her first 3 albums. If I remember correctly she performed like 2 or 3 songs from post ARTPOP eras. So for a good setlist, I'd definitely want her to improve that.

Tbf it was essentially marketed as a greatest hits show targeted at the Vegas market not the Gaga fan market at a time her team were rebuilding her brand with the GP. So it was unrealistic to expect ARTPOP to be given much attention given it was the "downfall" album. The gays know how to party

PartySick 168,658
Enigma 2.0 ACT 1 - "The Chapel" - Electric Chapel - Black Jesus + Amen Fashion - 911 (new arrangement) - Marry the Night ACT 2 - "The Altar" - Venus - Sexxx Dreams - LoveGame - Dancin' in Circles ACT 3 - "The Demon" - G.U.Y. - Monster - Replay - Swine ACT 4 - "The Organ" - Shallow - Die With a Smile - (One of the following songs acoustic) - Million Reasons - Joanne - The Edge of Glory - Hair - Dance in the Dark - Born This Way (acoustic) - Happy Mistake ACT 5 - "The Prayer" - Just Dance - Abracadabra - Bad Romance Encore: - Enigma - Vanish Into You Spoiler The idea behind the original Enigma show was to rediscover yourself and finally get in touch with your past, thoughts, and emotions. Then, use that to allow yourself to heal. This show kind of follows up on that in the sense that even after you're healed, you can still be so sexy that life gets hard for you I'm imagining this big religious themed introduction onto a stage that's a mix of the Mayhem opera house and the BTWB castle. She sings "Electric Chapel" while bathed in golden light dressed in priest robes. She'll look like a prayer candle up there. "Black Jesus" shows the stage becoming a bit more dynamic and dancers join her on stage. A few of the dancers are dressed in markedly more dark clothing. "911" has a new arrangement and the whole chapel comes down while Gaga's forced to battle (dance). "Marry the Night" starts slow with Gaga on stage alone as she walks around the wreckage of her one-safe place. A few "trusted partners" (dancers) join her to slay the choreo for the second verse on. The song ends with a reprise of the remix into the interlude. "Venus" starts as Gaga proclaims she's looking for a new stability, a new safe place. "Sexxx Dreams" and "LoveGame" is her finding love on the journey. "Dancin' in Circles" is her discovering self love as with MTN, a reprise of the dance part transitions into the interlude. She stumbles into enemy territory with "G.U.Y." "Monster" and "Replay" both have dark sets with striking imagery. Really, I want her to be reaching into that theater bag hard here. Replay transitions into "Swine" as Gaga gets the upper hand and this act ends with a crazy heavy and overstimulating remix of the song. Gaga finds an abandoned chapel that's haunting yet peaceful. She performs her ballads here as a way of healing. The Prayer act starts as Gaga reclaims her inner light and realizes she can manifest a safe space within herself no matter where she is. No need to erect walls, she's strong enough to brave life without a fortress. "Just Dance", "Abracadabra", and "Bad Romance" are all continuous using breakdowns to transition from one song to the next. Nobody should be seated. She HASSSS to perform "Enigma" at Enigma 2.0 And "Vanish Into You" is the perfect closer, especially with a cute reprise as a bow theme. Notable absences: - Poker Face - Paparazzi - Telephone - Alejandro - Judas It just gets to a point where she has SO MANY hits that every non-album specific tour or show would be the same songs just slightly rearranged. She really focused The Fame, The Fame Monster, and Born This Way on Enigma 1.0 so I wanted to give the other girlies a bit of shine. I think it's time ARTPOP got the love she deserves and some of the deeper cuts on that album get performed. Especially Swine 'cause the potential is monumental ¡Seguimos aquí! 2
