Reviews aside, does it seem that an LG7 tease at the end of the film was actually real? Between Gaga Now tweeting about it and the audience largely being NDA’d, it’s possible that it is in there, but we won’t see it until Saturday. Any T on this??

(also that tweet from an attendee going “I can’t believe what happened tonight” with video of the credits seem to indicate a tease was dropped, but maybe not)

spoiler-heavy review from a brazilian source: https://siteepop.com.br/review-lady-Gaga-especial-chromatica-ball/

some translated points featured on the review:

Spoiler

Regarding visual effects, “Just Dance” contains scenes from the backdrop mixed with images from the show and “Poker Face” has an effect where the singer appears tripled on the screen, as seen in the previously released teaser, in addition to transitions with movement, something which causes some dizziness when watching when added to some quick cuts of the performance.

“Replay” and “Monster” have a problem in their mixing, as at certain times the backing vocals are louder than the singer’s voice.

One of the low points of the special is “Telephone” , whose performance received heavy visual editing, with extremely fast cuts followed by several flashes and images of sound waves.

The performances of “911” and “Sour Candy” are magnificent, especially the visual effects used in “911” in an intelligent and non-tiring way, perfectly matching the concept and idea of the performance.

Fan captured footage during the performance of “Free Woman”

Piano section uses a camera attached to the inside of the piano, bringing a feeling of closeness and intimacy with the artist

Spoiler

not the LADY Gaga - ACTUAL PATIENT Nurtec commercial footage coming thru :gaycat:

Gaga's vocals are incredible in this piano section of the show, the singer performs the notes with precision even when playing the piano.

In the ending credits, the instrumental of “911” from the tour version is played along with some fan videos on the sides.

Even though some cuts and effects may be considered exaggerated, the project as a whole has a unique meaning. The interludes, despite being reduced, help tell the story of “Chromatica”

The way the artist's voice was worked on, apart from the problems in “Replay” and “Monster” , also deserves praise. With very well mixed vocals, it is possible to notice that no major corrections were made in post-production. Something that many concert specials fail at, as they try to make the artist sound like they do in the studio, which leads to the addition of too much vocal correction, combined with compression to hide all these corrections.

Sneaky Oliver

A Brazilian site, Folha de Sao Paulo, posted this review:

Without backstage footage and interviews, it portrays only the show, from beginning to end, but the result reveals more about the artist than any confessional film could. It becomes clear that her passion and vocation is, above all, to perform. At the end of the show, Gaga receives more than three minutes of applause. She knows her place in pop music remains untouched”.

This is the first review I’ve been able to find for Gaga Chromatica Ball film.
He liked it but he would have preferred scenes from different concert dates mixed in rather than it just being one date and he wanted backstage scenes. He thought Renaissance film was better.

these critiques arent really about the actual filmaking but rather his personal opinion about the creative direction. To me, for a proffesional concert film having **** up continuity and witnessing footage that don't belong to the mic and audio feed or parts that belong to different dates is just jarring and a killer of the experience, i see it as also inauthentic from a musical perspective cause it's no longer a concert as it was but a mismatch of concerts that dont reflect how the event actually took place, it also comes across as the artist cherrypicking the most flattering things instead of embracing the integrity of the performance.

Of course i would've love the alice screams of London and Dusseldorf captured on film, but its just a matter of what date they decided to film and how the performance came to be that day, i'd much rather having this way, plus it keeps every performance special for the ppl who watch it live.

The same with backstage footage and commentary, i want it too but i'd much rather have it separately in a concert documentary on a short form or full length, having it in the concert film distracts from living or reliving the experience from an audience perspective.

I think the entire setlist on the LA date is in the show :partysick:

Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?

“Replay” is particularly fun to watch, as Gaga high-jumps around the stage, proving that her titanium hip is warmed up and ready to go.

it's sort of like, my past is an unfinished painting..

I feel like if there was an LG7 tease, it would've been all over twitter last night, NDA or not :air:

I kinda love the fact that there is absolutely no backstage footage.

It maintains the CBT's integrity as a bleak, stark and brutal art piece that speaks for itself. :holdmyhand:

Time. It will not wait, no matter how hard you hold on...
