That's simply not true, at least for Europe. The biggest threat still comes from jihadism when it comes to terrorism.

There's a system in the US called PIRUS that tracks radicalized and violent people.

17% of violent offenses or instances of radicalization are Islamic in nature (related to ISIS or Al Qaeda)

23% were left wing (anarchists are labelled as left wing)

59% are right wing

Like....it's not some big f*cking mystery who the biggest threat is, it's literally documented

It's true for the US. Domestic terrorism is a demonstrably bigger issue. Like, HUGELY bigger.

But yeah, in Europe, Islamic terrorism is currently a bigger issue, though rates seem to be falling according to the EU officials that track it.

prides everywhere are already under attack for just existing. Private corporations like Target clearly never had our side. Just use the same smarts we always use. We don’t need the negativity from the government.

They’ve issued messages like this for the past 4-5 years at least. Commenting on the possibility of terrorist attacks isn’t “negativity” or “fear mongering,” that’s literally the job of intelligence communities lmao.

Yeah, I'm way more worried about the home-grown monsters. They attack fast more often; I wonder why I see so few warnings about them from our government. Actually, I'm pretty sure I know why. But still. 

As I've already seen on here: Always be careful and aware, but go out and enjoy life. Be loud about your pride and show out. We're hardly ever safe here. We can't be scared into hiding. That's how they win.

Ehhhh not really, depending on European country its an equal risk between jidhaism & facism. The difference is that jihadi networks are better organised as for awhile nazi networks were primarily drug dealing. 

On a wider note - I used to be involved in my local pride (avg attendance of 15-18k for reference) from about 2018 until 2023. The only year we ever got any information from the police of a risk to the parade or wider event was 2023, and it was a far-right gender critical based threat. We even had a bomb scare on the day during set up and had to perform a full-scale evac of the site.

And what makes this more serious, is the fact that LGBTQ+ is a target of both islamist conservatives and ethnonationalist conservatives.

I saw this the other day, but this is an example of both types of extremists, who rarely agree on anything, coming together in opposition to LGBQ+ education in Michigan:

It's important to note the effects of the pandemic here on the specific kind of terroristic threats.

The graph on page 10 of the document below shows that jihadist threats remain the most significant.
