It's pretty established by now that Gaga rarely attends events for the sole purpose of showing herself for no reason. That's what people do at the MET, show themselves for no reason. Gorgeous "red" carpet as well in matching with the theme. I'm still stumped as to why it was called The Garden of Time when the theme is "Sleeping Beauties: Awakening Fashion" suggesting vintage pieces but it seemed that it was as simple as wearing florals ("For spring? Groundbreaking). For years, the themes have been obvious but so many missed the mark so to see it work out despite a confusing theme is really something. Even when some weren't on theme, they were still slaying. I haven't bothered quoting all the pictures of the best in the last few years but you know what, I just feel like it this time, seeing as not all of you will have seen the ones I'm talking about. I've spoilered it as there's so many. My top ten best dressed according to theme: Spoiler 10. Nicki Minaj (I didn't want to feature her but it's about fashion, not personal lives) 9. Karlie Kloss 8. Kerry Washington 7. Greta Lee 6. Kim Kardashian 5. La La Anthony 4. Teyana Taylor 3. Dove Cameron 2. Sydney Sweeney 1. Lana Del Rey My top ten worst dressed: Spoiler 10. Nicole Kidman 9. Michelle Williams 8. Brie Larsson 7. Elizabeth Debicki 6. Cara Delevigne 5. Adwoa Aboah 4. Chloe Sevigny 3. Emily Ratajkowski (yes, her nipples are censored and you can almost see everything on the other side) 2. Rita Ora (it's a body stocking, though not really obvious here) 1. Doja Cat (she really just stuck 2 fingers up at the theme and did her own thing, right?) Not on theme but looked great nevertheless: Spoiler Pamela Anderson Ariana Grande Dua Lipa Elsa Pataky (couldn't get a photo on her own) Rachel Zegler Awkwafina Eiza Gonzalez Emma Chamberlain Tyla Kylie Jenner Shakira Hari Nef Penelope Cruz Kaia Gerber On theme but didn't look great nevertheless: Spoiler Cynthia Erivo (this could've been so much better with heels and made into a dress instead of a suit) Julia Carey (James Corden doesn't count as a bad accessory but totally applicable) Maria Sharapova (hair and make up amazing, the colour on the bottom half is tragic) Kelsea Ballerini Zendaya (her other look was a bit better) Queen Latifah Amanda Seyfried (that has to be the cheapest looking material of the night) Erykah Badu (seriously, how did she look at herself in the mirror without laughing?) Special mentions (they weren't there but AI pranksters got to work and produced stuff that was better than some of the best of the night): Spoiler Rihanna Katy Perry (this artist needs to commission dresses for real because these looks ATE up the competition) Overall, a very good night. Some people are saying it was boring but that's just because so many stayed on theme for once! I wish that many respected the memo every year. Such a shame Gaga didn't go.
