This is pretty wild.

A group of students decided to protect the U.S flag from protestors yesterday. Today in just a few hours they already received around 400k$ in donations, and still counting. (I wouldn't be surprised if they reach 1M$ in the next few days )

Should protests in the U.S take down/burn the American flag as an expression of free speech, or is it more likely to backfire and fuel opposition to the cause? Personally, I think it's more of the latter.

Like I'm against unlawful encampment or vandalism. But I saw a video of some protestors just standing in USF and the police came in and launched tear gas grenades at them. It seemed excessive considering that the whole group was barely 20 people
