ok seriously though, I cannot sing you any of the songs from TTPD, Midnights, hell even folklore or evermore (and I like those two albums!) the music isn't sticking

there's a reason why Cruel Summer was charting for so long, it's actually a genuinely good memorable pop song.

In the US, most definitely. But internationally? No. In Europe the number of #1 singles Madonna has had is much bigger. In Latin America I think it's Madonna as well. I'm pretty sure Adele is much more popular in Europe as well. What you're doing is basically letting the singer-songwriter-who-rules-for-a-decade-but-not-in-all-territories try to take up Madonna's spot. It's happened before with Mariah Carey who fit that description perfectly as well. 

The average person can name like four Taylor songs, if even that much. Madonna at this point had countless smash hits.

I truly don’t care how many dates Taylor sells out in the biggest cities of the world or how many copies of the same album she can sell to the same fan, it does not compare to the fact that Madonna could have literally went to the furthest corners of the world and probably sold out a show.
