Yeah, but looking at the ideology question. Now only 32% identify as left/liberal.

45% identify as moderate, and 31% as conservative.

This is not super favorable numbers for the democratic party.

What colleges did they go to lmao who *identifies as moderate that’s not like 40? Lol

Both are trash. Both in their own lane.

1. Is a raging cheeto;

2. A demented zionist.

good luck Murica.

ps: don’t drag the entire western world into a war we don’t want! Thanks in advance.

Well another surprise in the poll is that only 2% listed Israel-Palestine war as a top concern deciding their vote.

So I really don't think Biden's issue is that. I think it's bigger than we think (economy, inflation, immigration etc.).

I think it's nation wide. This is not just Harvard university.

It's probably a representative sample of the whole country.

Just for context: the same poll shows Biden with a decisive lead among young registered/likely voters against Trump (in spite of his sagging approval rating overall).

“If the presidential election were held today, President Biden would outperform former President Trump among both registered (50% Biden, 37% Trump) and likely young voters under 30 (56% Biden, 37% Trump).“

So, this poll’s results are from mid March. A poll from April 18th (also conducted by the Harvard Kennedy Institute of Politics), shows Biden with a decisive lead among young registered/likely voters against Trump (in spite of his sagging approval rating overall).

I think it's the same poll (done in March, published in April), but they probably removed the undecided vote in this document you shared?

It says: The Spring 2024 Harvard Youth Poll surveyed 2,010 young Americans between 18- and 29 years old nationwide, and was conducted between March 14-21, 2024.

This is an interesting finding:

"President Biden’s lead among 18-24 year-olds is 14 points, and among 25-29 year-olds it is 26 points".

So it seems the younger end of Gen Z leans less left than the older end.

This is the original data, but I think they removed the ones who don't know how they'll vote:

This was obvious before the national college campus protests against him, but now? I fear the vote for the couch is more solidified than ever :diane:

But yeah let’s just worry about other things bc it’s not our job to worry - it’s Biden’s

Those protestors are liberals and leftists. They'll never vote for Trump. But if some of them decide to not vote, that's also a problem. Though I feel the prospect of a Trump presidency will bring many of them back in November.

As I explained in the OP, there is a trend of declining share of Gen Z identifying as liberal/progressive, and that limits the pool of voters that democrats can get in this age group.

Something like 30% of Americans say they're enthusiastic about the economy. Doesn't sound like a lot but considering a year ago it was like...7% or something, it means something :ladyhaha:

Inflation is controlled. The only unfortunate spikes seen are in gas prices which are due to Israel and Iran f*cking up.

The immigration bill is being blocked by Republicans and Americans are stupid, but not SO stupid they can't see that.

That's you assuming voters are smart and can analyze the reasons why these things are happening :billie:

But listening to people, it seems that they'll blame whatever problems there are in the country on the President, regardless of whether it makes sense or not.

Yes unfortunately, he's being unfairly blamed for Inflation and gas prices. And not sure how it can be fixed before November.

Welllllllll I stopped caring about Trump vs Biden polls 'cause they're always crazy. But when polled about the state of the US, the trend is positive. And I think that plus real, tactile wins, will pull the election in Biden's favor :diane:

Trump is even more of a Zionist :trollga:

I hope progressives and Muslim voters realize that a protest vote against Biden will only bring about more issues for minorities under a Trump presidency

This. It’s not gonna “teach Biden a lesson”, it’s gonna **** so many people over.

Hyoha

The US needs either a socialist party or to reform the democratic party into one.

People in Democrat cities are getting arrested for protesting against the Gaza genocide. Neither party welcomes them or their vote for that matter.

Honestly, it’s time for Democrats to reinvent themselves. Cringe centrist boomers are dying and the youth is more leftist than ever. I think Trump winning this round and giving the Dems a taste of failure would be a good thing.
