Bradley 57,489
So artists nowadays seem to like the cut the promotional campaign short, for reasons I'm not exactly clear of tbh. Maybe it's because our attention span is so short nowadays? Ariana released one single before ES, Beyonce released two songs on the same day before CC, Billie announced there would be no singles, same with Taylor, the lead came on the same day as TTPD. Justin Timberlake and Dua Lipa are the only ones who went with the traditional route, but they're both not faring that well critically and commercially. JT has questionable reputation to begin with, but Dua doesn't. Which strategy do you think Gaga should go for? Does that mean we wouldn't get televised performances for LG7? Also, considering how crowded it's been for music releases, should Gaga release LG7 after the Grammy deadline so she could stand a chance at winning AOTY? She could still release the lead beforehand to get involved next year. Also, how long should LG7 be? The recent releases seem to either be shorter than average or longer than average. Ariana, Billie and Dua are barely over 30 minutes long, whereas TS and Beyonce have almost 30 tracks. JT has 18 tracks but then his is a difficult case to evaluate because obviously his reviews are tainted by the Britney Spears controversy. What album length is ideal for LG7? Bradley 57,489
Also if both Katy and Gaga released in the second half, it'd be really interesting to see how they both managed to separate their releases from everyone else and almost recreate another Roar vs Applause situation. dzox 552
as much as i prefer the traditional album rollout with 2-3 singles before the album i think it would be interesting for Gaga to do a taylor-esque type of rollout with dropping all the songs altogether. i think the "surprise" thing is what make people excited nowadays. for the length i'm still for the 12-16 track album but i wouldnt mind couple of bonus tracks and maybe deluxe releases. i dont think she needs to wait for the grammy deadline tho, idk maybe im just not really on the grammy thing especially with beyonce and taylor in competition which we all know they tend to be biased and both are grammy's favorite artists (Gaga too but not on their main categories)

I'm pretty sure LG7 will be released shortly before Joker. Nowadays you have to have a movie, documentary, world tour, an album with 100 songs released at the same time inorder to actually create some hype. simply because people are just consuming a lot of content and they get bored fast. Nobody's patient to wait and see what she will do next, they'll just move forward to the next one, one scroll at a time.
MelbHawker 6,583
I think Gaga needs some sort of a lead song to create some interest/hype. Bey used Texas Hold ‘Em for CC, Taylor’s pushing Fortnite with Post Malone for TTPD with a MV. Billie might not do traditional singles, but you can bet that a song or two will be out before the album / sent to radio / paired with a video etc.

HeavyMetal Halcyon 1,505
I still think a lead single before an album release is a good promo strategy. The only paramaters are: 1. don't tease it before hand. ESPECIALLY not 2 months in advance on tiktok. Just put out the annoucement like a week or so before. 2. I love the Extended mix, Instrumental, and Acapella. This gives Djs the ability to quickly add it to their sets and for people to remix it and mash it up with other songs. This was incredibly successful for Ari's singles. 3. Don't put out the lead TOO far in advance of the album. Maybe a month before? Unless they're planning on doing a LOT of other promotional activies. You must keep the momentum of that first song going. Chromatica Forever
