This is actually similar to the way she’s always performed but with more skin showing and sexualized dancing. 
 

She’s always done the dance-oriented show with lip syncing or a heavy backing track if she does sing. Even that stick thing she always holds her microphone with made it to the “adult transition”.

I see she brought back her rainbows too but this is a pride event so it definitely made sense. 
 

I’m glad she’s getting attention with her image change. It may not be commercially successful and clearly it’s not something critics will have any mercy for, but for some reason I find this situation more interesting than most things in pop culture right now.
